Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Came with family had a lunch, served by Bogdan very professional at his job. Food was excellent, I had Hoisin and Garlic chicken legs. My parents went for the pork chops in creamy garlic and spinach sauce. Absolutely out of this world, very tender. Prices were very reasonable.

We were shocked by the lack of fire safety at this hotel. Fire Alarm went off, we grabbed important items and headed for staircase. Luckily we deduced earlier in day staircases were at either end of long corridors Went down the stairs, no signage to tell us where to go for fire muster point Went out into front courtyard, no Maldron staff directing where to go In fact as we left our room other people were heading back into rooms Went into reception area, business as usual, no announcement that fire alarm was over Turns out someone in the gym area had problem with a hairdryer Alarm went off twice again when back in room There was no sign of a fire truck being summoned for a hotel fire alarm I looked at back of door when we went back to room, and in the tiniest print in the middle of the script they mentioned a muster point Coming from Canada we were shocked by the lack of input by hotel staff I asked for a duty manager to call me. He didn’t seem at all concerned and rattled off the name of the muster point Our personal safety trumps a hotels lacklustre safety rules Don’t recommend this hotel

My sister and brother-in-law were on a tour around Ireland when they experienced a catastrophic medical emergency. They were staying at the Maldron Oranmore. My brother-in-law passed away from a heart attack. Another family member and I flew out from the US to provide comfort and support to his wife while staying at the Maldron Oranmore. The response from the hotel staff, both immediate and over the days following the heart attack , was very sympathetic and helpful. I cannot say enough about the staff in the room comforting my sister-in-law during the attack. A staff member performed CPR until emergency services arrived. Another staff member hugged my sister-in-law as she watched the emergency services attempt to resuscitate. Over the next four days the hotel staff went out of their way to assist my sister-in-law and then myself and fellow family member. Before we arrived they brought meals to her room, checked in on her regularly, and ensured her needs were met. When we arrived we saw the attention and care given to our sister-in-law: extra warm greetings and regular check-ins to see how she was doing. All of the staff exhibited remarkable kindness. For that our family is very grateful. We had several meals at the hotel: breakfasts and two dinners. Breakfast is buffet style and there's a hearty and delicious "full Irish" available, along with cereals, bread, pastries, and yogurt. There's something for every taste. Our dinners were delicious. The three of us each had something different on both nights: fish and chips, curry, beef, fish, and chowder. So the menu is expansive, portions large, and the meals were both nicely presented and, as I said, delicious. I used the gym a couple of times. It's a nice big clean gym with all the equipment one could need from cardio to weight machines and free weights. There's a pool too, but unfortunately I didn't have time to use it. Wifi is free and strong: several Facetime chats back to the US went off without a hitch. The Maldron Oranmore is nicely located just outside Galway. It took us about 15 minutes to drive to to Promenade and 10 to Eyre Square. Our rooms were spacious, clean, quiet, and the beds were comfortable. Again, I really want to thank the staff for all the friendliness, kindness, and assistance they provided during our difficult time.

This was a very expensive stay as the Galway races were on. We have travelled through Ireland on holiday and this was the most expensive and offered rubbish value for money. The rooms were too hot there was no air con there were no complimentary shampoo and conditioner . We stayed for 2 nights and the tea was not replaced in the room so we couldn’t make a cup of tea on the second morning.

Currently staying at Maldron, an enjoyable stay ruined by the poor taste and manners of a guy dressed as a manager but without the attitude of a manager in dinner area! Were told that the restaurant was available tonight - Saturday night only to be turned away in a poor manner by this “manager” at the door and abruptly sent to the small bar area to have dinner which was overcrowded!! Lovely staff otherwise Maldron - lose the guy with small man syndrome!

Because of problems ( not by us ) at another hotel, we booked in here on the night. Luckily they had a spare room and very nice it was to. Really nice hotel well run with really good staff. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty . Free parking outside, all in all a lovely nights stay at a reasonable cost.

This is a run of the mill chain hotel. It has everything you expect from that type of hotel. Not more, not less. Decent breakfast, decent rooms, everything clean and friendly staff. But nothing exceptional. No expenses were spared to give the impression that no expenses were spared, to coin a phrase. The location is not very good, right next to a busy road.

Clean, fairly modern hotel. Room was nice-basic. No microwave or refrigerator (as we have found in all hotels we stayed at in Ireland). Had a fan and window opened (no cooling option). Staff were friendly and helpful.

We held our sons Communion Dinner in the hotel. The food was fabulous with great choice for a set menu, both for kids and adults. The staff were super friendly patient and had genuine smiles all the way through. The hotel had a lovely touch of havung a communion card and gift for our little man. Brought a big smile to his face. Highly recommend it.
