We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. It really did feel like we were staying with friends. Our room was in an converted coach house overlooking beautiful gardens. Very spacious and clean with a fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The food was amazing, good traditional Irish breakfast, and the attention to detail and taste for the...

This is a very pretty, old style country house on the outskirts of Ardara village, overlooking the Donegal hills. We stayed in what were the chalet type rooms with a small balcony overlooking beautiful gardens. (I think in the old days these rooms were the stables) The rooms were spacious and the fridge was stocked with complimentary water. The bathroom...

We stayed at Woodhill House for two nights during the Easter weekend and enjoyed exceptionally warm, dry, sunny weather. We had one of the rooms in the main house overlooking the courtyard and also the wonderful Donegal Mountains. Woodhill House is an old charming property and is clean and well decorated giving the feeling of a warm inviting home. There...

A gorgeous, well run, welcoming place to stay in the most beautiful part of Ireland. Management is gracious and always available to help. The town sells the best Donegal sweaters and the rugged beauty of Donegal County is awesome!

With my daughter at the gaelteacht it was time to go visit. I chose Woodhill because I wanted somewhere a little bit different. It really is a home from home. The owner, John, is a gentleman and the house is filled with photos and mementos of his life which I found fascinating. The food was good, beautifully presented and plentiful....

We loved our stay in Ardara and at Woodhill house. Our booking was absolutely random as Ardara was not the main destination of our roadtrip and what a lucky pick it was! The house just oozes hospitality. All the family photographs in the decor make you feel as if you are visiting friends rather than being a paying guest. Room...
