We came to dundrum House hotel for a couple's get away and it's exactly what we got, the holiday homes are beautiful and modern, with 5 beds and 3 baths there's plenty of room for couples and families. We ate dinner in the steakhouse. The food was outstanding as was our waitress claire. She is a true asset to your team and went above and beyond her duty to cater to our needs! We wouldn't hesitate to return and hope to return once all the renovations are completed....good luck! x
V good and quite place to spend holidays. Surrounded by golf course and good bar with friendly staff. Also rooms were clean and spacious and kitchen is well equipped. Highly recommend for family holidays!!
We stayed here in July 2019 for a week in one of the holiday homes. It was a beauiful house newly decorated. Very modern spotless clean had everything in it that you would need . Hotel is 2 min walk food was fab staff were great .we will be back again soon . Only down fall was the pool wasn't open.
Eight of us took two lodges for a one night stay that included dinner, bed & breakfast with a round of golf. The accommodation was fine for what we needed. The choice offered for the four course dinner suited everyone in the group the sight of empty plates heading back to the kitchen told its own story. No complaints and everyone happy. I must commend the two staff members on the very good service they provided us. Breakfast was just as good and again empty plates evidence of this. I have to give a special mention to Margaret who gave us such great attention. Nothing was a problem and everything was done with a smile. A real gem of a lady. The golf course was in excellent condition as it has been every time I have played here. For any group looking for a place to stay and play…
We stayed at the chalets, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast included in our stay, the staff were very attentive, Margaret who served breakfast was excellent buzzing around making sure all were happy , any hotel with her on staff is on to a winner, The food was excellent. I don’t play golf but all who did were delighted with the course, one of the best, a great stay overall, Brenda Kenny
I was allocated apartment 432/434. We arrived at 5.15 but were told the room would not be ready for 40 minutes as cleaning was not yet finished. This should have been a warning sign. I was advised to wait in the bar area by staff. This was not an option having my grandmother in the car. Eventually at 6pm we could enter the apartment where the floors were wet and very dangerous. On arrival we realized there was no central heating on but instead 3 electric heaters one in each room. It felt cold and miserable and certainly not acceptable travelling with an older person. I brought all the electric heaters and put them on in the kitchen to try heat up the place. It was too cold to take showers in the morning. The carpets were stained, curtains not hanging properly which would not…
We only managed to spend one night in one of the holiday homes but it was totally worth it!! The house was clean and homely and had a lovely feel to it! The heat was on when we arrived and we literally dropped the bags and went for a swim the the indoor pool & leisure Centre!! That evening we enjoyed a delicious meal in the Golf bar/restaurant and they catered well for the children whose requests can be as demanding as any connoisseur of foods!! The staff in all areas were very polite and chatty! The weather was not the best a typical Irish downpour was present for most of our stay but with the comforts of the house and the facilities this wasn’t an issue! Definitely worth a visit if you are near or even worth a detour! The grounds were beautiful even in wet weather!
We are just back from our Dwyer & O'Dwyer Gathering 28th to 30th September. We stayed in the "Houses", excellent facilities! We had Breakfast in "The Venue" both mornings and Dinner there on Saturday night, beautiful food and wonderful staff. Most of the "Party" played golf and they are all full of praise of the Course. For those of us who didn't golf, we went on a trip to Cashel for some "retail therapy" and coffee break, which was not far to travel to. It was all so good that we are going back to Dundrum for a "Reunion" same time next year!
We just spent a great weekend at this hotel. Everything was looked after so well from breakfast to evening meal. They have a brilliant 'experienced' waitress who was a friendly powerhouse with a great attitude. One downside way the key cards, a big inconvenience when that kept failing.
We based ourselves here for a last minute trip before the kids went back to school and we were not disappointed. Staying in the lodges, they were a great size for our group and all the rooms were ensuite. Food in the golf club was tasty, food menu choice and the staff very attentive. The swimming pool in the leisure Centre was a big hit as it was not too deep and the kids felt safe in splashing around. The hotel itself is not yet open, but this just leaves us more excited about a return trip next year when it is as I understand it’s going to be something very exciting! Many thanks to all at Dundrum for a very relaxing and enjoyable family stay
