This Georgian Manor House was built in 1730 for the bride of Lord Hawarden, the Earl of Montalt where ancient Irish chieftains, the O'Dwyers of Kilnamanagh once held the land. At the beginning of the century a religious order bought the property and in 1978, the Crowe family bought the house and adjoining lands that lay along the Multeen River.Located in the 'Golden Vale' this resort is located in the heart of Co Tipperary, 8 miles (13K) from Cashel Town, steeped in heritage, in one of the most picturesque settings. As you can imagine, this luxury country house hotel Tipperary is a wonderful country retreat, with old world charm and atmosphere. The Manor House was restored to it's former glory and the resort's ongoing property development provide, modern day comforts in a setting that retains the finest of the old. Absorb the history and beautiful antiques that adorn the manor bedrooms, drawing room, lounge and restaurant. This hotel seamlessly blends modern day living with modern bedrooms, health and leisure centre, wedding venue and spacious holiday homes, with old world charm.

Our family of 5 stayed in the houses beside the clubhouse and they were lovely; well kitted out, recently refurbished and spacious. The hotel is closed for serious renovations so you have to use the clubhouse office for all your dealings with the hotel. The clubhouse bar was open and served food till 7:45pm and the bar closed at 9pm. The food was very good with generous portions.
Our main disappointment was that the hotel pool was closed during our stay and apparently after some questions seemed to be closed for over a year at least! We specifically chose there as it had a pool yet it should not advertise this option as it is very clearly not possible! Also poor signage on arrival to tell you to check in at the clubhouse office as we drove around for a bit trying to find the hotel check in etc

We came to dundrum House hotel for a couple's get away and it's exactly what we got, the holiday homes are beautiful and modern, with 5 beds and 3 baths there's plenty of room for couples and families. We ate dinner in the steakhouse. The food was outstanding as was our waitress claire. She is a true asset to your team and went above and beyond her duty to cater to our needs! We wouldn't hesitate to return and hope to return once all the renovations are completed....good luck! x

We stayed here for three nights as part of a coach trip of the West Coast of Ireland. There three coaches in at the same time but the service remained excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were lovely. Catering for such large numbers was no problem and tables were saved on time and with hot delicious food. The bedrooms were huge and lovely and clean with water every day as well as tea, coffee and biscuits. We are going back here!!!

After spending break's away before in hotels with a family of four, after bening here it has made me think twice about hotels.Self catering seems much more relaxed. The grounds are amazing but with younger children would need to be supervised at all times. The playground was great also a little stream. One touch that I really was took back was the have a secret garden which was like stepping into Alice's wonderland.Cottages were done to high standards and it was living in luxury homes and grounds with each bedroom having a full sized bathroom.#beststayyet!!!!!!

Most enjoyable day apart from the weather. Beautifully manicured course. Marian Riordan on hand to attend to all our golfing requirements.
Food was beautiful & most welcome when we finished our round. Staff in restaurant very attentive & pleasant. Overall a great day. We will be back.

Impossible to contact them Jeff. Despite numerous phone calls & messages left they just don't get back to you . Very strange place in that regard. What is going on? Money can't be such an issue, can it ? I honest can't fathom what is going on there & why communication is so difficult .

I would just like to express my opinion on our recent stay at your supposed hotel. I booked this for me and my family of two adults and three children. We booked one of your two bedroom houses for two nights, which were quite expensive but I didn't mind because ur website showed some fabulous pics of houses and the hotel,????. When we arrived to ur hotel???? We were flabbergasted to find a closed down horrible looking hotel. We saw a big sign saying to check in at leisure centre which I thought was highly unusual. Anyways after going to check in at leisure centre, I meet a really nice guy who informed me that the hotel had a fire 12 months ago. I looked on in shock as nowhere on your website do u say that. The place is so run down and shabby its unreal. When we checked into house number 4 on first look it looked quite nice, but as we settled in we saw mould everywhere, the back door lead to a decking area, which was horrific and we couldn't let the kids out there. Decking was broken , paint peeling off the door empty bottle of beer with fag butts in it. Obviously hadn't been cleaned in ages. All in all I was disgusted by what I was charged and ur false advertising of a lovely hotel with fine dining and relaxing bar. What a joke. Will never return and will be putting this up on trip advisor. U should update your page so nobody else will be deceived like my family were.

Was on business in the area last Friday and needed a bed for the night, googled hotels in the area and this was closest to me. Rang the number on the website and got through to a lady in the hotel leisure centre with average to poor English, couldn't comprehend that I wanted a room for the night but eventually understood and transferred me to some place called "The Venue", the guy who answered transferred me to a line that eventually went dead, I
called again and again and 4 phone calls later they realised the hotel might be closed for a while, poorly informed staff and not that helpful I found, I couldn't imagine the management is much better!

We had the most wonderful time at the Dundrum House. We stayed in "room number 1" which was the best room in the house! Decorated in mauve and dark wood, it had a great view of the grounds, and was most comfortable. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Forget about all the talk that Ireland has bad food; meals at the Dundrum House hotel are on par with the best continental type restaurants we have been to. And the golf course! It was beautiful, and hard enough to be challenging but not all hilly and heathery like Lahinch or Ballybunnion. Austin and Mary Crowe and family have done a remarkable job with this gem. I recommend it to everyone I talk to who is going to Ireland. And its just a short drive from the Rock of Cashel, probably my favorite spot in Ireland.

Dundrum but also Cashel near by, about 10 to 15 minutes by car, great variety of shops, especially for "the girls"!
