Old world charm! We really enjoyed breakfast which was served by the "breakfast goddess" Carmen. Also the generous pour at the bar was much appreciated! Gorgeous chandeliers in the breakfast area - original 1920s New York !

Great place, friendly staff, good breakfast, and a 10 minutes walk to the Dart, and then a 6 euro 25 min return trip to the centre of Dublin The main bar is very generous with its whiskey pour and steak in the dungeon grill is very good

I stayed for one night at this hotel. I was given a room in the old part , the original castle. Although in need of some paint touches here and there I loved the room, it made me feel a princess! Great decor and ambiance, super comfy bed with fluffy pillows. The bathroom was to die for. The view from...

Overall: This is a no frills, locally owned hotel that's a great location at a decent value. Challenges: Smells old. It needs a fresh coat of paint & some serious updating of its decor. Carpeting, furnishing in lobby & rooms are torn & tattered.

I LOVE coming to Fitzpatrick's Castle for lunch/afternoon tea/drinks (everything) in the lobby/bar but the service literally could not be worse. Every time that I am there I am "served" by at least 4 different people. We always have to leave our seat to ask a server to take additional orders/to clear our table. Some of the waiters are pleasant...

I have stayed in this hotel for one night only while on a business trip and enjoyed it. The hotel is the real castle indeed - there are fireplaces on the ground floor, rooms are large with high ceilings and there are also distinctive squeaky floors and smell which made me feel as if I was in a museum! I...

This was my first time in Ireland and a good place to start my 6 day stay. The hotel is in Dalkey, just a little south of Dublin. My room was very comfortable with a walk out balcony. There's an indoor pool which gets good use and appears well cared for. The grounds have plenty of parking. I was able...

Hotel looks a lot better in photos. Some areas of the hotel need work on, and some staff are not the friendliest.. Our room was slightly dull with worn skirting boards and a dirty bath! However lovely food in a great location.

Sadly the hotel looks much better from the outside and the lobby than the rest of the house does. The regular rooms are in an extension to the main building and quite standard for a 3 to 4 star hotel. The room itself was clean but needed refurbishment as there were quite some big stains in the not so new...

We really enjoyed our stay here, it is a beautiful hotel, with the nicest lobby I've seen in a long time. We spent a very relaxing Saturday afternoon enjoying a cup of tea there. The leisure centre is a bit tired and grubby in places. But we did like that there were family and adult only swim times so there...
