Stayed here as part of a CIE tour. The hotel is beautiful, old and definitely has character! Our room, 522 was perfect! We had a beautiful view of the sea! The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant PJ’s was ok for dinner and breakfast....More

This hotel is on a beautiful property about 25 minutes from Dublin city center. It is in a really cute town that my husband and I liked better than Dublin. There is a train station within a 15 minute walking distance to take a train...More

I agree with the response from Manhattan, Kansas above about not getting too scared off by one review. I Always check Trip Advisor and there will always be bad experiences for certain people. What struck us the most was the vast diversity between the quality of this “castle” versus the 4 others where we stayed on our trip to Ireland. My review was truthful as far as the towels, pillows and amenities, etc...but that was our experience. We did not ask for extra, we found the front desk staff not very friendly when we asked about directions to the transit station and to change dollars to euros for us. To be honest there was a huge bus tour crowd (2 large tour buses) of people staying there and they appeared frazzled by all of their requests. I do hope your experience is better than ours and that you love Ireland as much as we did.
