I stayed here recently with my wife. We attended a wedding and therefore thought where better then the Royal for an overnight at a reasonable price. We checked in relatively early. Unfortunately there seem to be some carry on in the bar which resulted in a distraction for everyone. We could have been left standing around like fools but thankfully...

I went to the lounge of the Royal Hotel tonight with a friend. We were meeting for a relaxing chat. We ordered Bulmers cider only to be told they had no pints available ....in bottles or on draught . Brewed in Clonmel and they couldn't have it in stock !!! We have been in many pubs in Spain, England,Turkey and...

Stayed here for a family party, stayed in a twin room on the first floor. We went to the leisure centre which is lovely and clean, the staff here in the royal hotel were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us last night, we didn't get any food here so can't comment on that, one"fault" if there was any is...

just back from a one night stay at the royal this hotel looks great online but my daughter and I were very disappointed, hotel needs a facelift, the pool not good or the leisure facilities. The reception staff at the hotel excellent. The lady who was serving and cooking the breakfast was brilliant, had no help, but had to also...

We ended up staying in this hotel as on the way home from Wexford one of us was sick and couldn't drive the rest of the way home. We were overcharged for this basic outdated hotel at €140 for one night without breakfast. Considering there was a wedding on in the hotel we were put in a room on the...

Just back from a very enjoyable stay at the Royal Hotel. We stayed here as a family for 3 nights. On arrival the reception area was clean and welcoming. However when we were allocated our room we were very disappointed. My husband went back down to reception and spoke to the duty manager called Ashraf. He was courteous and very...

The hotel must have been Royal once in the 30's,decor not changed since, bedding unclean and dust all around. As this booking was short notice we paid over the odds which we should have paid nothing as this has been the most terrible hotel we have ever stayed, staff in restaurant threw the food at you, this was the only thing...

We booked into this hotel for two nights but had to leave after one night. The room was disgusting with the wallpaper peeling off the wall, the shower curtain was badly moulded and the spring was actually sticking out of the mattress. When we complained the reception staff were sympathetic but needed the managers permission to refund us, the manager...

The hotel definitely needs to be refurbished. The rooms where clean but very old fashioned. The hotel staff where great. Anything we asked them for they provided. We also had a meal here which was tasty but there was not much choice on the menu (this could be because we booked as part of a package)
