Detailed Reviews
Stayed at the Firefly over the very busy Bray Jazz Bank Holiday long weekend for 5 nights. Had luckily requested a room at the back (and got it) as I can imagine those rooms giving onto the street would be noisy as there's a bus stop right outside. I was also pleased to be on the ground floor as there isn't a lift so only a few steps to be negotiated with my large suitcase. As the hotel is unstaffed the only staff I did meet were from Housekeeping. Cesar and Fatima could not be more helpful! Fatima showed me how to operate the coffee machine properly and Cesar organised the maintenance man to unblock my sink in the bathroom! He arrived within a couple of hours to do this. It wasn't a major issue but as I was there for five nights I decided to raise the problem sooner rather than later. Firefly you're lucky to have such friendly and pleasant staff! The rooms/bathrooms were also extremely clean and well maintained and I'll certainly stay again the next time I come to Bray!

Gorgeous room for great value. We booked it cos we were going to a concert in the Aviva Stadium - it was the best price and option for a nice hotel on a night of a big event when hotels can be really overpriced/booked out in Dublin. We hopped on the DART which is about 10 mins walk away from the hotel and the DART journey was 35 mins to the concert and back again afterwards. Perfect to stay in if you're going to a concert/event in Dublin or to explore Bray/Wicklow and is close to public transport including AirCoach, Dublin Bus, DART and train. There is also a nearby car park. Our room faced the main street but the noise wasn't too bad and we both had a great night sleep - the beds are so comfortable. We made a mistake on our booking but had no problem amending it when we gave them a phonecall. I got the text about how to access the front door and the locker for our room key about 2 hours before check in and wasn't a problem. Highly recommend!

Lovely stay very quiet great location
Room is small yet perfectly formed with everything you need. It was very quiet it was almost like there was nobody else there. Love the touch of the kettle and hairdryer and iron in bags under the bed
5 minute walk to the beach and lots of places to eat and drink in Bray. Highly recommend Pink Salt
The only thing is I couldn’t figure out how the second person could use the app as it was connected to my email.
Would recommend

The room itself is quite small but cosy and has everything you might need. The bed is very comfortable too but unfortunately that’s as far as it goes. The noise is horrendous you can hear people talking in the room next to you as well as what they’re watching on the tv. We were on the ground floor and the people above us were stamping across the floor all night so we didn’t get any sleep what so ever. When it did get a bit quieter around 6am we were then listening to people shouting and even vomiting in the room down the hall. At 8:30am we heard more banging as the cleaners arrived. Cackling and banging as the morning went on we eventually got fed up. We did complain the night before to the reception but as the ‘hotel’ was fully booked we couldn’t be moved and all we were offered was a complimentary breakfast, which at the time we appreciated but after having the worst nights stay in a hotel by far we weren’t happy. We were very excited for a quiet night away as we live in an extremely loud area but this was worse. There was no noise from the outside it all came from inside the hotel. I drew the line at hearing someone taking a number 2 above me. I would honestly avoid this place like the plague. I was freezing in the room and tried to turn up the heat but the damp smell that came from it was disgusting. Tried to have a hot shower and the water was lukewarm at best. The view from our room was some over filled bins and a blank wall. I’m sorry to say I won’t be back

Was nervous about no reception but every text or email continued everything we needed to get into the front door, unlock the safe and get room pass card.
Room was clean, very comfy, used everything hairdryer, iron, ironing board, travel kettle.
Perfect location for shops, food, bus stop outside, train 10 min walk away.
Rooms are close together so a little noise from doors opening and closing but not too bad.

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel in July. Everything went beyond our expectations from the ease of the contactless check-in to the glorious room itself, which was kitted out with the latest Smart-TV, Nespresso machine and a beautiful shower. Despite being on Bray Main Street there was no noise to be heard from the room. Being new to the area we checked out the welcome booklet for some recommendations on where to eat/drink and they did not disappoint! One14 espresso nextdoor to the entrance of the building for your morning coffee, followed by food and cocktails in Box Burger located on Bray seafront, a 5 minute walk from the hotel, are an absolute must! Very much looking forward to our next stay here 10/10!!

The location of the hotel, perfect. The bed especially comfortable. In general everything is quite new. The only downside is that in the 4 nights we stayed they have not replaced the toilet paper roll, nor was there a spare, so we had to buy it ourselves. Comment that only the bed is made, the room or the bathroom is not cleaned.

Had a very satisfying stay in Firefly. Rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate. The location is right in the middle of Bray main street and 5 minutes walk from the train station and seafront. Would definitely stay again

The room was lovely, however the bathroom was slightly claustrophobic. Also did not have the hair dryer as promised. Bray is a great location and the Harbour Bar was definitely worth the visit that the hotel recommended.

Clean comfortable room and beds. Easy access with code access. Handy location with bus stop outside door and not too fat from Dart. I was on the ground floor which had a wet room which was equipped for disabled use so was very spacious. Good find.

Hi Veronica! There is no restaurant/bar in the hotel itself however it is only a 5 minute walk away from our other venues such as Box Burger, Platform, The Martello and Harbour Bar 😁
