2 night stay, we stayed in room 210, room was really tiny and bed was so uncomfortable, nightclub goes on until 2.30 which you can hear until then. Staff were friendly and breakfast is great. If you're looking peace and quiet this hotel is not for you.

We arrived at the Martello for a friends 21st birthday. We understand that bouncers have a duty for the bar, however, the bouncer, an older gentleman, decided that me and my two friends were “too drunk” despite the fact we had not drank any alcohol before arrival. He then proceeded to only let groups that had females accompanying them, despite the fact they had clearly consumed more alcohol then other groups that were hoping to get in. He was extremely rude and truly ruined the special occasion of my friends 21st, who then went home by themself following the very embarrassing ordeal with the bouncer.

I had booked 5 apartments for 20 ladies to stay in the Martello for two nights in September.  We had a great stay, the food was fabulous, huge portions that we couldn't finish. Breakfast on the terrace on a sunny morning was just beautiful and serving breakfast until 12 is the best idea ever.  The staff at the Martello are a credit to the hotel, every staff member we met was kind, courteous and friendly but a special mention must go to Simon in the bar upstairs, he's fantastic.  Just one complaint, one of the ladies had 2 really bad nights sleep. She was in room 325 sleeping on one of the single pull down beds and the mattress was in bad condition with springs sticking out. She didn't mention it to me until after we'd left which is why I didn't mention it when checking out.  Thanks for having us, we hope to visit again.

Booked the Girlie Getaway for six of us. It was great value. From start to finish we had a lovely time. Food was fantastic, we were stuffed to the gills Prosecco tree went down a treat. Beds were really comfortable. Staff were really lovely and helpful, always smiling. Great atmosphere in the Hotel. Breakfast was served outside under the canopy it was really lovely, the sun was shinning so sitting out was an absolute pleasure, watching the world go by. Will definitely be back.
