This B&B is located near Cashel, famous for the Rock of Cashel, which we found to be very worthwhile visiting. Tommy was a gregarious host, who clearly enjoys being co-owner of the lodging with his wife, Joan. He directed us to the nearby pub, where we got to experience an authentic Irish drinking establishment. The room was nice, and morning featured a classic Irish breakfast.

Travelling from Glasgow, I booked 4 nights in Tir Na Nog a Bed and Breakfast outside Cashel and this a grand place to stay. It was a long journey from Larne to the b/b and en route along with the satnav Joan had given us directions to follow . Unfortunately we did not meet her as she was working, but Tommy made up for this with his welcome when we arrived and the great cup of tea given to us. He told us places to visit, the best routes to take and restaurants to go to where the food was good.. During our stay Tommy made us a full Irish Breakfast each morning and there was everything to eat that you could wish for,. We were given a downstairs room which was very comfortable with a wardrobe which held two fluffy dressing robes, a dressing table, lamps, a hairdryer, fresh toiletries in the bathroom and not to mention an iron board and iron to use if you required this. All in all we will miss the company of Tommy and would not hesitate to return to Tir Na Nog. We wish his business every success in the days and years ahead..

My sister and I stay one night at Tir a Nog in November. The drive up from Kilkenny was beautiful. The house was beautiful. The grounds were beautiful. The room was beautiful.
Tommy greeted us with a warm Irish smile and treated us like old friends.
He recommended The Bailey’s Hotel for Dinner (It was the best meal of my entire trip!!! The Vegetarian Wellington!!! Delicious!) and Donoghue’s Pub for a pint and live Irish Music. It was a great night!!!!
In the morning, we had a home cook meal (these Irish breakfasts are more than enough to get you through your day!!!) and recommended the sites of Cashel.
This was one of my favorite stops in Ireland. The Rock of Cashel was magical, with birds squeaking, wind blowing, and history all around us!

John was the kindest, most helpful host we encountered on our entire journey throughout Ireland. Not only did he recommend a fantastic pub that featured live entertainment but he and his wife were also incredibly accommodating to the vegetarians in our family and provided a delicious breakfast. He was particularly helpful in providing us information about seeing the Rock of Cashel at dusk, right when the lights came on. We will always remember the humor and hospitality we were shown by our hosts--thank you, John!

Really welcoming, dated interior but very very clean and comfortable, we slept well. Breakfast was excellent, I'm not sure the host Tommy, would call it a full English but it felt fresh and would fill the hungriest of appetites. There was a great pub 2mins walk away. No food but good beer and a friendly bunch inside. There were 5 tractors parked outside with the lads having a couple of shandys after work on a Friday. Great atmos

We were lucky to find such a lovely place at the last minute!! Thomas was an excellent host and gave us a great recommendation for dinner. The room was beautiful and the bed was the biggest and best that we had in Ireland. Breakfast was delicious and included scones which always makes me happy. We’d gladly stay here again.

Tommy (our host) was especially welcoming and kind. He even provided us with tea upon arrival. He is a font of local knowledge and he really goes that extra mile for his guests.
The house enjoys a very tranquil setting and the bedrooms are spotlessly clean and well presented. There is an extensive list of choices for Breakfast and the service is first class.
We would certainly have no hesitation about staying in Tir Na Nog again. It was an enjoyable experience.

On arrival what stood out was the amazing love and care that has been put into this property, the gardens and surrounding view was just picture perfect. We were greeted by Tom who was so lovely even offering us a cup of tea or coffee and giving us recommendations where to for dinner. The room itself was spotless and provided everything that was needed for a comfortable stay.Quality of bed and linen top of the range and provided the perfect nights rest. Breakfast room was a good size with plenty of light and again totally spotless. Breakfast had everything to set you up for your day from cereals, fruit, yogurts, juice tea and coffee but for me it was the cooked full Irish that nailed it. It was the best I’ve had, great produce, freshly cooked and the perfect sunny side up egg😋Tom was very present for breakfast ensuring everything was ok and the chats and laughs made us feel more like friends then guests, we even got to see some family photos which was a beautiful touch. When departing we got a hug goodbye from Tom and his wife Joan. We will definitely like to stay again next time we are in this area and Tom and Joan should truly be proud of what they have accomplished. Really if I could give more then a 5 rating I would without hesitation.Well done 🥰

Lovely, bright, and clean b&b within a few miles of Cashel. There is a local's pub next door, but you'll need your vehicle for lunch, dinner, or sightseeing. Proprietor Tommy is a wealth of information, happy to talk, and can offer WONDERFUL recommendations for sites and places you might not find on your own.

My wife and I were just reminiscing about great trips we've taken and I realized I never left a review for this bed and breakfast. We weren't planning on staying, but we had some car trouble in Cashel and a waitress overheard us discussing our issues at dinner (maybe 8:00pm) and called around to find us a place to stay. The host at Tir Na Nog stayed open late for us, told us about a pub nearby we could walk to that night, and made us a delicous breakfast in the morning. It was an accident that we stayed here, but it was one of the highlights of our honeymoon.
