The house within which the rooms are located is very historic and full of character. The rooms were perfectly comfortable and it is very convenient to the town of Clonmel. Close to the river walk by the river Suir which I thoroughly recommend for walking or running. Highlights were the enormously enjoyable full Irish breakfast with a copy of the Irish independent each day and the fantastic “hidden bar”. All staff very pleasant. Ample parking. Decent value. I will return again next time I visit my parents in Clonmel.
We were in for a surprise when we discovered Raheen House. Its a place with history and a beautiful mature garden. The staff couldn't be nicer and we got a think the best room in the house. Dinner and breakfast was great. I can only recommend it.
Hidden away beside the river Suir just out from the town of Clonmel is Raheen House Hotel. Beautiful spot. Quiet peaceful and great staff. Wonderful courtyard beside the bar. Little sun trap. Highly recommend staying here.
Had a family 90th Birthday party here recently . It was the most wonderful venue you could find for such an occasion. We were a party of 25 with the room exclusively ours. Arranging the day with Trish and Niamh was without any issues. The staff on the day were brilliant. The menu was very inclusive and catered for all tastes. With such peaceful and beautiful surroundings, we would highly recommend Raheen House for such an occasion and similar.
Just spent a lovely weekend break at Raheen House. We found it to be a quiet, peaceful hotel. Perfect for us. We had a lovely bedroom with a very comfortable four poster bed. Food was delicious for dinner each evening. Breakfast was good. Management and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall we had a lovely relaxing time at the Raheen House Hotel.
I loved my visit to Raheen House , it is such a nice change from the standard hotel stay. The staff were so personable and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. I can't comment on dinner as we ate out in town, but we had a lovely breakfast and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon tea. We also had drinks in big comfortable arm chairs in a lounge area on our return from dinner in the evening, which was just a lovely way to end the night. We stayed in a room in the main house - I loved the feeling of history, it is embraced rather than totally erased. I had a fantastic sleep in a comfortable bed and wasn't disturbed by any noise. The grounds around the hotel are lovely and I believe they are doing up some of the rooms outside of the main house in 2022, so I will definitely be returning to try one of the new rooms. The location is such a handy walk from the town, so no need to worry about taxis. We also did a lovely walk by the river - not sure if it is a greenway, but it was picturesque (there was even an orchard) and plenty of space to avoid walking on top of other people. If you are looking for a bog standard stay in a hotel that is just like every other one, Raheen House may not be for you, but if you are looking for warmth and coziness and caring, attentive staff you can't go far wrong here.…
Had a wonderful Sunday dinner here today. Plenty of choice on the menu. The roast beef was cooked beautifully. Portion sizes were plentiful. Staff were friendly and professional. Really can't fault it. We will definitely return here to eat.
The hotel is set in an old house with some attractive period features. It stands in a large and beautiful mature garden. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable but furnishings throughout were rather ‘tired’. Like many others at present the hotel was very short staffed but staff were pleasant and helpful - when you could find them! Dinner and breakfast were disappointing.
I like old houses but this hotel gave me no "wow" factors. The room was large and the bed comfy. The food was so-so. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, the house and grounds looked "tired". But in its favor, it was a good central location for my needs.
Had a lovely meal in this beautiful period house. Tastefully decorated oozing old style elegance. Limited menu due to COVID I think. Friendly staff & we have stayed in this hotel in the past. Fabulous rooms and lovely old garden. Totally recommend.
