This hotel should not be open. Its the dirtiest & smelliest hotel I've ever walked into. Had a room booked but it was so bad I had to leave straight away. Photos says it's all. Avoid at all costs. I felt sorry for the receptionist & got my refund straight away.

The building is not fit for human habitation, it is filthy. The conditions of the rooms and public areas such as halls stairs landings are appalling. The bad smell is overwhelming. No attempt at upkeep and cleaning has occurred in this building in years. The room I stayed in was not cleaned, the window frame was rotting, the bed linen was not fresh. The walls in the bathrooms were dirty. I have spent the last 30 years working around the island of Ireland and have stayed in many hotels, this is my worst experience. This is not a hotel and should not be allowed to host guests. It should not be allowed to list on booking websites as a facility for paid accommodation.

Pros: Blonde lady on reception was super helpful and friendly (didn't catch her name). I hope she gets a raise. Bed fairly comfy and rooms warm. Location is great as in town centre. Cons: breakfast is a joke, it's just cereals and not much effort gone into providing breakfast for guests (added in pics). Room doors were poor and 107 wouldn't lock at all, although the nice lady on reception moved us next door to 108, that still didn't lock properly. Whole place needs a refurb, too many cracks and creases showing. TV didn't work properly so used laptop for TV shows. Tiles/walls cracked, rooms quite dirty and one hallway stunk of cigarette all the time.

Disgusting room, smell horrendous, carpets filthy, I came home needing a shower. Would NOT recommend for a dog let alone human. This accommodation is 1 star at best. Didn't stay for breakfast fear of food poisoning. Staff I met were nice, but this place should be condemned.

We stayed in Hearns Hotel on a Saturday night 3 rooms in total we had. In our experience the 6 of us had a ball. It was Drag Day in Clonmel and they had a Drag show in the Hotel that night. To say we laughed until we cried is an understatement. Now the Hotel itself is not posh and only serves continental breakfast. But the staff are fabulous and so helpful 😊. This Hotel offers a great service for a night away. Out of the 6 of us who stayed there we would have no hesitation in returning and the little café next door beside the flower shop does beautiful food. Congratulations 🎊 to Hearns Hotel 🏨 and keep up the good work 👏. We will be back.

The lady at the front desk was quite helpful recommending a place to eat for a late supper. We checked in and took our bags to our room. We weren't very happy with the room, it was outdated and looked very uninviting. After going for our meal we decided that we wouldn't be happy staying the night. There were no questions asked when we asked for a refund, almost like this wasn't the first time it had happened.

Where to start.... The smell, oh my lord what a stale, musty, odour throughout. The bed.. An attempt at cleaning was prehaps made a few months ago. The room... The smell again!! The bathroom.. Sweet Lord, filthy isn't even an accurate enough description. Mould, broken window clasps, doors didn't close properly and the carpets definitely had their own eco-system in them. The staff were really nice though I felt bad for them.

Stayed a weekend here to do some hiking with friends. Some rather unfair reviews on here. I would say the accommodation is excellent for the price, ok some things show age however the room was clean, beds comfortable, shower was good and breakfast excellent. The staff we interacted with were all very friendly. Nightclub was not running so can’t comment on noise issues other reviews mention. The car park has been made into a large beer garden, which was enjoyable. Very central location, I would stay again definitely!
