Enjoy your stay in Clonmel!
Mulcahy’s is a excellent family run business which I stayed in for 4 weeks while working in Clonmel. The bedrooms had been recently renovated to a high standard during the first Covid 19 lockdown which made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and welcoming every day. The food was excellent as was the Guinness. I would definitely stay in Mulchays again when I’m in Clonmel.
We recently had a staff night out in Mulcahys and I cannot praise the staff and level of service enough. The area reserved for us was perfect (just as we came in the door and we had the whole area to ourselves). The food we had pre-ordered was on time and absolutely delicious and they catered for the few vegetarians in our group without any fuss . The staff present were helpful and friendly and we will be back for our next night out and cannot recommend them highly enough.
Stayed with family three nights, great place the rooms were great, access to the rooms are through a separate entrance ..next door, no lift but we already knew that, it would have been handy with my elderly mother but we managed..staff great , many thanks to Darren for looking after us all, especially saturdayy night when all my family arrived from the surrounding towns & villages. off street parking. food was good, we will definitely be back.
We won't be returning as lunch was terrible had chicken it was pink in colour ,it was under cooked ,veg were flavourless I was sick for days after second bad lunch there in recent weeks ,used to be good
We have stayed in Mulcahy's twice now and loved it. Both rooms we stayed in have been recently renovated and were very comfortable. We love the location right in the centre of Clonmel, but we have only stayed midweek. I would imagine that it can be quite noisy at weekends, ear plugs are supplied in the room! The hotel is like a townhouse located beside the bar/restaurant and has it's own entrance(accessed with key card). The breakfast is served in the restaurant next door(just a couple of steps away), and is lovely with the full choice from the regular menu. All the rooms are accessed by quite a few stairs, so this would definitely not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
