We stayed for two nights at Lisarrda whilst in Clonmel . We had stayed before and knew that we would enjoy a restful stay in beautiful surroundings. Eileen had kindly given us a ground floor room as my husband is awaiting a knee replacement . We had a lovely room overlooking the peaceful garden . Eileen and Michael greeted us warmly and are such kind people . Breakfast was lovely as always and set you up for the day . We would always stay at Lissarda when visiting Clonmel as we know that our stay will be faultless and we come away rested . Thank you Eileen and Michael and we hope to see you in the future.
My husband took ill in clonmel. My son pre booked b &b from the uk. I called to confirm booking and Oh wow it was superb from my first contact with the hosts to the day I left. I hate travelling and staying anywhere alone, but felt really at home here ,hosts were excellent put me at easy minute I arrived there. ( (michael one of the hosts. Collected me from the hospital ). When I arrived I was greeted by Michael's wife who immediately offered me tea and something to eat. I was exhausted , declined and went straight to my room, room was big , tidy spotless , and so was ensuite. Breakfast was pre order and was not disappointing .. very reasonable rate and I would recommend to friends and family and I would definitely stay here longer next time we stay in Clonmel. If I could rate it 10 stars I would…
What a beautiful place to stay. Excellent Irish breakfast with the kindest host. The grounds were stunning and we walked around and took pictures. She recommended a hotel in the area for dinner so we walked there. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again.
Nice place to stay, no common lounge area, even though pictured on booking.com. The room was nice with comfortable bed but the person snoring in the next room kept me awake and you can hear everything in the next room. Good breakfast and shower.
We stayed here recently while attending a concert in town. The b&b is lovely. Homely, spotless and so welcoming. We enjoyed the breakfast and were even giving a lift by the owner to our concert. Everyone we encountered was polite and friendly.
We stayed here last week with our 2 year old son and we loved it. We found the hostess to be super friendly and very inviting. The b&b is very clean and comfortable, we were asked to pre order breakfast and it was served on time we’d highly recommend staying here
A wonderful home that has been purpose-built as a bed & breakfast. Large, bright rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Located in a very quiet residential area of Clonmel, within walking distance of downtown. Operated by a very charming and hospitable retired couple. I highly recommend this B&B and will return.
Stayed at Lissarda for 2 nights recently when visiting family and friends in Clonmel, and what a pleasant experience it was. The hosts Eileen and Michael were so, so helpful, and could not do enough for us. The bedrooms are of a very high standard, and are absolutely spotless. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, and certainly sets you up for the day. When I was going to collect my car from the town, Michael insisted on taking me instead of getting a taxi. What a service from these lovely people. We will be back to see you very soon again.
Excellent all round and will definatly be back. Breakfast brilliant started the day stuffed. The whole experienced was top notch, beds comfy and a good nights sleep. Will be returning and looking forward to it later on this year.
The room and shower were spacious and spotless. The large breakfast was perfect in every way, as was the lovely view from the breakfast room where you ate it. I visited a hotel in Canterbury, the following and could not face their breakfast, as it was so poor in comparison to what I had at Lissarda. It is situated about a 10 minute walk from town centre but this worked perfectly both to walk off the enormous breakfast in the morning and to at least make an attempt at sobering up a little going back home late at night. I had friends who stayed in town at a hotel with a night club, neither got a decent nights sleep with the constant thud of base drum noise and breakfast was extra. Instead for a 10 minute stroll (some of it up hill) you will have a perfect night sleep and a superb breakfast, at a far more reasonable price.…
