My husband and I plus another couple spent 3 wonderful nights at Brighton House. The owner, Pat, and his wife run a very warm and inviting B&B. Pat gave us great advice on a place to eat supper that was easily within walking distance. Also was helpful on the local pubs. Our rooms was clean, large and full of neat furniture. Every morning we enjoyed a made-to-order breakfast with plenty of tea and coffee. If another trip to Ireland takes us to the Clonmel area, we will definitely stay at Brighton House.

What an amazing place to stay. The house is almost 200-years-old and if you love old buildings and architecture you'll love Brighton House.
Our room was very large and the furniture was all in keeping with the age of the building and the décor.
The house was very clean, the bed comfortable and the en-suite was large.
There is a good car park, although access to it could be difficult when getting out with a big car (just care needed and no real problem).
We absolutely loved it.

I stayed with 2 other adults on the top floor. The beds were VERY comfortable and the breakfast was awesome. The owners are just fantastic people recommending sites, taxi service and stores in the area. I loved this historic building and plan to be back again in 2015.

Stayed here for one night as a group of 3 couples. Rooms were much larger than usual for B&B,very quaintly decorated. Pat was very welcoming and had a great sense of humor. We felt quite comfortable here. Great nights sleep, very quiet. A generous Irish breakfast. Would highly recommend!

We stayed here one night the beginning of October. We arrived around noon on a Sunday after a long flight from the US to Shannon and then a bus from Limerick. I had emailed them a few weeks before to tell them of our early arrival since check-in is at 3 pm. We got a taxi from the bus/train station as it was 6 or 7 bocks and did not want to pull the suitcases. The owner Pat, opened the door and promptly told us "You are too early! Your room is not ready!". But we convinced him to let us come in, leave our bags and find some place to have lunch. He recommended "Mr. Bumbles" which is about three blocks away - perfect for a typical Irish Sunday dinner (see separate review). When we got back, the large airy room on the second floor was ready and I must say, very clean and full of heirlooms. The most interesting were the toilet and sink decorated with flowers in the ceramic and the knob on the wall which was used at some point in time to call the servants. The room overlooked the main street but the noise did not bother us. There was a double bed and a single, a couch and chair, plus wardrobes for those staying longer than a couple nights. The shower was an interesting experience because there is a switch on the wall in the bedroom that you have to turn on for the water to heat up. Breakfast was served in the dining room downstairs - I think Pat cooked it himself - eggs, sausage, toast, fruit, cooked to order. If you want the experience of staying in a B & B built in the late 1800's, this may be your cup of tea, especially if your interests are in the center of Clonmel. We found it perfectly adequate.

The couple who own could not have done more for me and my friend and the breakfast included was brilliant!!! Gorgeous town Clonmel, and this b&b is located in the heart of it which means getting around is nice and easy.
Rooms clean and comfy complete silence and a great nights sleep. Got a lot more than I expected and would definitely stay again! Thank you.

We stayed at the end of April, Berni and Pat were excellent hosts and couldn't do enough for us despite Pat having recently undergone surgery and Berni having a frozen shoulder. The very large room was spotless and clean, lovely comfy bed not to mention the excellent breakfast. the couple were very friendly and gave us loads of information and directions. Nothing was too much. they even let us use there PC to print out our boarding tickets! We would highly recommend staying here.
Close to all amenities without the noise.

Room Tip: we had a huge room at the front which gave a good view of the mountain and straight up the street.

Pat and Bernie have a gem in Brighton House, and they are the perfect people to call it their own. The house is truely unique and the rooms splendid, decorated with period pieces and comfortable beds to boot. The location can't be beat, within walking distance of some of the best pubs in Ireland and also close to the Rock of Cashel. The food was scrumptious as well. All that is wonderful, but what makes everything all the better are Pat and Bernie. Full of knowledge and more than willing to share. My family and I really enjoyed getting to know these wonderful folks. If Clonmel is on your itinerary, you must stay at Brighton House. If it is not, you should consider a visit to this wonderful town.

I stayed at the Brighton House during the National Coursing Meeting. Pat, the host, could not have been more accommodating, especially as I arrived at the last minute. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were especially terrific - I'd never had white pudding before! I look forward to returning next year! I heartily recommend staying here.
