Came here a good few times from earlier this year, and bit by bit the quality of the food rapidly declined. It started off great, and got worse as the weeks went on. The last visit was very poor overall; we all got dry food, dried out potatoes, dry and tasteless veg (in fact the veg was awful), it was actually so bad that we only picked at the meal and left most behind. Quite expensive too for pub food. There were way too many staff on falling over each other. I think the staffing problem is that there’s no actual manager present- or at least it doesn’t appear that way. It’s a lovely bar, premises appears clean, but they just need to really improve their quality of food and train/manage their staff. A lot of my family/friends had the same poor experience in recent months so won’t return until we know things have improved drastically. Hopefully someday I’ll have the honour to rate it 5 star!…
Trip from Cork to Waterford so stopped for lunch on the way. Nice pub, but no atmosphere at all, food overpriced. Over 15 euro for mains, Potatoes so bland and mixed frozen veg on the side. Roast beef was nice, waiters friendly.
1st visit,we had lunch from" special "s menu late afternoon,(kitchen open till 5pm)..it was excellent.Warm feel to the place and friendly staff served up meal quickly. Highly recommended...We will certainly call again.!
Great size rooms, really friendly and helpful staff, cannot fault the place, only stayed one night, but felt right at home and will go back for a longer stay, ideal location to use as a base for seeing Cork, Kilkenny and Waterford.
I've just spent two nights here and found it excellent. The location is ideal for sightseeing and rambles, also it's near Clonmel and other places. The rooms are neat and tidy, there is plenty of parking space and it does a good Irish breakfast as well. The pub is traditional and the staff were very friendly,I would return and recommend Nagles to anyone
Five of us visited for a quick lunch after a morning climb of Slievenamon. We asked if there were vegan options (for me!) and the accommodating team was able to offer me the mushroom soup, which was absolutely delicious! The rest of my party seemed very happy with the generous portions of chicken goujons, chips and salad. The pub has a lovely, cosy feel. Would definitely visit again!
My daughter and I stayed 3 nights at Nagles on our first trip to Ireland thanks to Joe Ormonde. It was the real Ireland we wanted to experience! Our first Guinness, making new friends, laughing and living life! Thank you!!
Have taken my dad home a few times over the last year. Always stay here and it feels like coming home. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and thought it's over a pub you would hear a thing. We I don't. Breakfast is full and will keep you going for the day. Not sure if there are any rooms at ground level for anyone who cannot cope with stairs. There is ample parking. We worth a stay.
I could not recommend this place highly enough! I arrived to Lahinch on a wet windy night and forgot my tent pegs! Tried all the shops and rang a number of places but had no luck in getting any. I rang Nagles at almost 10pm (the time they close) and they had tent pegs. They so kindly waited for me to come from Lahinch to get them which is going way above and beyond and I am so grateful for. Arrived at nearly 10.30pm and they had kept the shop open especially which is so so kind. Stayed there for 2 nights, genuinely the facilities are fantastic . Views are stunning from the campsite , location everything was spot on. Thank u Nagles will definitely be returning!
Booked seven rooms in nagles for last weekend we had a brilliant time nothing was a problem . Maria sorted everything beforehand via phone and email and Tony looked after us on arrival. The food was fantastic especially the meal that was sorted for us on the Saturday evening after a long day of Hurling. Would highly recommend and hopefully we will return some day.
