We had a positive stay throughout, very professional approach, which is one of the key factors. Friendly and customer focused staff. The full Irish breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Called in to here recently with my wife to avail of the carvery lunch. Of course we arrived just as they were clearing away and we thought we'd missed it. Teresa, came over to us and said if we wanted lunch it would not be a problem. We tried apologising for being late and it was made very clear that none were needed. We were seated, made very welcome and not a bother, our order was taken and delivered to our table, piping hot and accompanied by plenty of smiles. At no point did we feel anything other than they really were delighted to have us there. Teresa and other staff constantly checked did we need anything more and they were quite happy to chat with us whenever they were near. All the staff and the service were excellent, Teresa is a gem, and all were brilliant advertisements on how to treat customers. If you're nearby try here, you will not be disappointed.…
Diamond member booked a standard king on points. A few days before check-in booking changed from kind standard to Junior suite which was great. Was still a JS on the morning of check-in. Arrived at 2:30pm, was told the room was not ready. Was given option of either points or drink voucher. took the voucher Had something to eat and drink and came back about ah hr later and was given the room and told I'd been upgraded because of my status. Was handed the keys. And that was that. No "breakfast is from", or indeed " breakfast is served on the top floor, not in the dining area" (as I later had to find out myself). No request to swipe a card for incidentals. I assume they were happy with the one from my IHG account info. Room 1202 that we were given is not a junior suite. I checked the app and found I was back at "king standard" which had "lounge access" tagged on it. No mention of what this lounge access was from the check-in lady. This hotel doesn't have a executive lounge, so who knows what that means, I certainly still don't. Came back late in the evening and ordered 2 chicken sandwiches and 2 teas from room service. Was told on the phone that I'd have to pay by card or cash. I said to just put it down to the room, but was told that was not possible as there was no card against my room ? I wasn't going to get into a back and forth in the small hrs so the food arrived with a card machine and was paid for. Same story the following morning, when I eventually found out where breakfast was served, i was told I had to pay there and then. I pushed back, and the breakfast receptionist phoned down and got it added to the room....why is this just not standard behaviour ? Room itself was fine, quiet, modern, good bathroom with a large separate shower as well as a bath. Had a capsule coffee machine, kettle and two bottles of water. room service food was by far the cheapest i'd had any where, 2 full rounds of chicken sandwiches, with tea was €14. The breakfast was also fine, had all the usual options you'd want, and chef doing eggs/omelletes etc, and breakfast was €30 for 2 people, so not too bad. So hotel fine, food fine, but being given an upgrade only to end up back with a "king standard", given "lounge access" without being told what that is, being requested to pay for any incidental there and then by card, no information about the breakfast room, all felt like a) the entire check-in process was broken, and b) recognition of top level status was mostly notional (save for drinks voucher). It was a one night stay and it served its basic purpose as a good room to sleep in, but otherwise entirely forgettable. No point in getting into the issues the next morning as we were leaving anyhow, and so whats the point ? I've given it 3 out of 5 simply because I hope mines was just a one-off bad experience, otherwise it would be 2.…
Stayed in this beautiful well appointed hotel a few days ago. The hotel is very well maintained, we had dinner in the bar which was great, but the breakfast we had was incredible, met by such a friendly chef that made us omelettes, he has apparently been there since the hotel has opened, best breakfast I have had in a long time. The room we stayed in was a suit, the standard of hygiene was excellent and a lovely room, certainly adhering to IHG standards. A special mention to Sharon and Daniel, they could not have done enough for us. Excellent hospitality by both and indeed I met a few others in the hotel, forget their names, you can see all the staff enjoy their job, well trained with a smile on all of their faces. Thank you to everyone. I’ll be back again soon.
I stayed at the Crowne Plaza - Dundalk this week on a business trip, I can honestly say that this hotel has everything covered! Excellent staff, great food, easy to find in a great location. On top of all of this I received a free room upgrade! I will definitely stay here again and will definitely recommend.
Such an amazing time at this hotel! I just want to say a special thank you to Sakhi Jam who works in the bar. What an amazing waiter who was so attentive, so polite and so relatable! Top class service from him all night and an absolute credit to this hotel. I hope he gets all the praise he deserves 😊
