The rooms are what you would expect of a B&B in Europe. The rooms are exceptionally clean, compact, but very nice. I didn't come for work, so not having uninterrupted wifi was not an issue.
You will love your stay the Rosemount B&B.
Bedrooms are tiny - made for the small Irish folks ;-)
Bathroom was a joke: soo small I couldn't even have a shower, when you want to go to the toilet be prepared to have to put your legs under the sink. The "hot" water got sort of warm after a long time, but nothing like hot at 8am.
The place was cold - heating comes on at 6 pm and well after we got up in the morning.
The breakfast average. No joice of juices, lots of canned fruit, a few pieces of fresh fruit, no plain joghurts, basic cerials. Irish breakfast was ok, not very friendly service in the morning. Maybe this is Dundalk friendliness - no idea.
In the evening the lady of the house made us a nice warm drink but brought buns that were obviously bought in a supermarket.
No tourist information, usually one would epect to find a lot of information waiting for guests - nothing here.
I am sure they always have plenty of guests as it is right opposite the Dundalk Institute of Technology.
Compared to other B&Bs I experienced warmer welcomes, better service - people elsewhere still offer homemade cakes / breads, and I never before stayed in such a tiny room. But I am sure otherwise they would not be able to have soo many bedrooms.
In Dingle I get B&B for €50 with a phantastic landscape on a quite road, super service big rooms. On my remark of the size of the bathroom I was told she is not a hotel and that is normal for B&Bs. Well maybe this was the standard in the 70s to 90s but not anymore, sorry.
The price of 70€ is just well over board.
Terrible. Would never book here again. It's a complete waste of my time!
We were received by John and later his wife who were very freindly
The room we stayed in was very nice with lots of nick nacks and comfortable bed.
The ensuite was very good. It was like staying in a family home with sitting room
available to guests. The fee wifi was fine.
Breakfast was typically Irish with lots of choice. Plenty of off road parking.
Dropping one mark as the mattress was softer than I like.
The only negative was that at times we struggled to contact to the wifi.
