We had a wonderful stay during our Kerry Way hike. We were early in the season and they were able to open up early for our stay. The house is located a short walk into town where there are several restaurants. The room are cozy and clean and great for the two nights that we were there. The breakfast was also great and enough to keep you going the whole day.
A very clean B&B , room was good, and breakfast was good. We did find the welcome a little cold, as were the rooms, it was a cold night we were there, and the room was cool, which was a little disappointing.
Absolutely delighted I booked this gem beautiful b & b. Perfect fabulous breakfast, bed very comfortable the room was spotless, bathroom shower spotless hosts were excellent very friendly and helpful. B & B around Ireland should take note of how a b & b should be run great place to stay 3 nights of bliss. 10 out 10
My wife and I stayed here during our Kerry Way hike. It is a very nice, clean and comfortable B&B. Lovely rooms, although the ensuite was quite small and was accessed via a couple of steps (difficult in the middle of the night). It was very well appointed though. It was a nice walk into town (best to head straight towards the water and walk along the coast). The cooked breakfast was great. The place was quite full when we were there (in summer) so I would certainly advise booking in advance.
I had a great time sea fishing in the Waterville area and Klondyke House was perfect for my stay. The breakfast was very nicely cooked and the hosts were helpful without being intrusive. My room was clean and had all I needed. A most enjoyable stay.
Having broken down on the Ring Of Kerry the AA booked us into Klondyke House and it was more than acceptable. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a great view. The bed was sooo comfortable and the room was toasty. A slight negative could be that the ensuite shower room was a bit small BUT perfectly adequate and beautifully appointed. Breakfast was lovely and the coffee was hot. Having waited up for us the night before the owners were still lovely in the morning and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you.
When we booked our stay in Waterville we only did so to break up our tour of the Ring of Kerry over two days. Well we were in for quite a treat. The Klondyke House was incredible. Beautiful views of the coast from every window and lovely rooms. Cirean was such a great host and cooks an outstanding breakfast. We explored the town a bit and albeit it small it has loads of character. If you're in the mood for a nice meal and good drink on the beach check out Dooley's on the shore. I wish we could come back just to spend a few days here.
The location of this bnb is close to town, easy to find. We found the room to be updated and modern. The room was clean, an adequate size for 2 adults travelling together. Breakfast is included however we starts at 8am and we were unable to partake. They were able to accommodate a continental breakfast earlier. This is a good place to stay if you plan on going to see the skelligs early, or need a place to stop halfway along the ring of Kerry. Free parking on site, rooms require you to go up a set of stairs.
The owner puts a lot of effort into making everything perfect, from sparkling clean rooms to perfectly ironed linen napkins and beautifully arranged breakfasts. Unfortunately, it comes with a cool reception and overall transactional attitude, not at all the warm welcome you get in most other B&B.
