Large Sports Hall, which is free of charge to all residents, Training Units - for lectures, workshops & meetings etc. (at a reasonable rent) all in the one complex. Group rates are available. Local shop/tavern nearby for essentials. Situated in the midst of breathtaking scenery of Mountains, Rivers, Lakes. Walking is a big attraction with trained guides available on request. Mountain Climbing – Carrantuohill, Ireland’s highest mountain. Beaches nearby for swimming, surfing, kayaking, Water sports centres 15 min. drive. Bus Hire available on request. Horse riding on sandy beaches, Bike hire. - Cahirciveen. Boat excursions to the Skelligs Rock available but prior booking is essential. Fishing for salmon & trout on the nearby Inny River, Sea Angling in local lakes ( boat hire can be arranged), Golfing – Waterville Golf Links( Tiger Woods practice range!) & Skellig Bay Golf Club. i stayed here for one night and i have to say it was excellent value,i got a double room for 30 euro .its about 30 mins from waterville, theres free wifi and the room was ensuite, there was a kitchen and a tv room

Our cycling group stayed here for 2 nights and we were blown away by the facilities, friendliness, and location. We felt like we were at home with a large kitchen, relaxing meeting room, and even a basketball court! Great views sitting in the back yard and drinking tea. And the owners helped us with every aspect of our stay - they even took all our laundry and had it done the same day. Eagerly looking forward to returning...

Sometimes you want to veer off the beaten path. When you do, you want a place like Dromid Hostel! The service was outstanding, and the space ideal for our group of 9 cyclists. When I told Kathy in advance about our plans she promptly set aside 2 family rooms for us (for both nights of our stay). But wow! I wasn't expecting the friendliness! Tom greeted us with absolute joy and a desire to make every part of our stay pleasant. When foul weather delayed our boat ride to Skellig Islands, they arranged a taxi. And they provided a large, fantastic "living room" type space for our leadership discussions. Loved this place and would promptly return.

Loved this hostel that's away from the main tourist roads and run locally. Easy going, very clean, comfortable, full amenities and not crowded. I stayed in the shared dorm for 2 nights and it was a great atmosphere to relax in and see the Ring of Kerry from.

I stayed here for four nights when doing some walking in the area. The hostel is out of town but there is a pub and small shop very close. The hostel is clean and comfortable. I had a private room with en suite facilities and there was a double bed in the room which was really comfortable. Prices were reasonable and I got a discount for a four day stay. The warden was really friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay at this hostel.
