The Brookhaven House was beyond wonderful! It was immaculate and the bedroom with king size bed overlooking the meadow and beautiful red and white striped curtains was the nicest B and B of our whole trip. Mary and her husband were delightful. Mary was so sweet and helpful and a pleasure to meet. She was over the top in making our stay wonderful. There was fresh fruit in our room, beautiful linens and an amazing breakfast. She made dinner reservations for us and was most helpful with information about the Waterville area. We loved Waterville, It was a quiet town with a lovely spot on the ocean. We had a nice walk on the beach and loved our dinner in town. We would definitely come back to Brookhaven. Thank you, Mary. You are the best!

Our hostess, Mary, couldn’t have been sweeter! Such a warm welcome and great recommendation for our dinner the evening we were there. The room was welcoming and comfortable. A nice bonus of a top sheet and washcloths! Breakfast was done to order and was scrumptious. We loved it and Mary made us feel like family. I would recommend to anyone traveling the Ring of Kerry who’s looking for a place about halfway through.

Mary is a wonderful host and looks after every detail. We had a triple room for my two children and myself. We appreciated the selection of teas and fruit plate that had been left in our room. I enjoyed a wonderful soak in the lovely bathtub after a long day of driving - a rarity in many B&Bs. We arrived around 8:30 pm, delayed because we could not stop pulling over on the road to take in the breathtaking scenery en route from Kenmare. Mary very kindly got right on the phone to call down to a restaurant to have them hold a table for us (restaurants would be closing soon). This was very much appreciated. Breakfast was simply fantastic. I am still thinking about it two months later. I rate this B&B as a very good rather than excellent as the decor could use an update.

Hi Ellen, Your review is grossly unfair, harsh and untrue.. 1. Our rooms are not small, and are appropriate size for five star Irish Tourist Board. Brookhaven is one of twenty three bed and breakfasts, in Ireland that is five star. Our prices are very competitive, and this is reflected on ota sites in the internet, where people have to have stayed. 2. No hot water in the morning, if that was the case why did you not report at the time, and it would have been rectified immediately. Please do not wait three months to tell us . You do not have to go online. July is a very busy month. No one else complained about cold water. Interesting. 3. Linen stained, with holes. Clearly this is not the case here, I check every detail, and we do not have linen with holes, or stains. I can assure our readers that my motto is Cleanliness is next to Godliness, hence the rating of 98% from online reviews, and twenty five years in business. 4. I am the registered owner of Brookhaven House. John would never speak to you, or any other guest about a staff member. 5. Finally I private messaged you,on tripadvisor, to get your booking reference number, and date of stay, and name that you booked under. You said your fiance booked it. Has he a name? I am still waiting for a response. I was surprised that you never mentioned me in the review, as I liaise with all our guests. You did mention on messanger, that you met me briefly, and that I was nice and welcoming, but that you would never put that in a review. Please do not wallow in the negative. It is obvious that you were having a bad day, but do not take your revenge out on us. Mary Clifford. Proprietor.
