Lovely property, wouldn't call it hotel due to scale, which we liked. Ate in restaurant and food was beautiful with breathtaking views. Steps away from lovely beach, not a golfer but golf course really close. Great location. Staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Stayed in room 12, which was lovely large room with magnificient views, nicely fitted out with really comfortable bed and lovely rain shower with great water pressure.
A beautiful hotel right beside a stunning sandy beach. Beautifully decorated room with amazing sea views. Food was delicious and the domes look like they would be great to dine in. Short drive into town and 20 minutes to the Kerry Cliffs.
We were so looking forward to our stay, it was our first trip after lockdown & a tough 15 months. Unfortunately it did not go as promised. The seaview deluxe room (most expensive in the hotel) we booked & had been confirmed through email and through having spoken to the hotel, was not what we received on the day. The room was tiny and cost €180. Following a conversation with one of the staff, we were informed our room that we booked, had been given to someone else. We were not offered a discount or anything for the tiny room we had no choice but to stay in. Unfortunately that evening in the restaurant we were wedged between 2 tables, we didn't receive any service apart from our main course brought to us. Nobody asked if we wanted drinks or a dessert or a water refill (every other table was attended to regularly). At the bar we had to wait 20 mins for a drink and again everyone else around us was served........ It was a very upsetting experience......Due to the fact it was birthday, our first night away in awhile & it would have been difficult to find somewhere else; we ended up putting up with it. Very disappointed and upset from our experience. It is a pity we were not listened to nor informed in advance of our arrival that our room was given to someone else...... We should have been given the opportunity to decide if we wanted a much smaller room for the same price.…
This is a beautiful of the grid place for couples or anyone. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the beach and food are out of this world. It is an idea place for exploring the Ring of Kerry.
Dinner here early on a Saturday evening. Unbelievable location with dazzling views and food to match. The freshest fish, I had the lobster starter special and then the halibut. Beautifully thick piece of halibut, fresh and bursting with flavour. The extensive menu of specials verbally presented was difficult to choose from. Great wine list, efficient, attentive and friendly service. This is really standout dining. Well done and thank you.
