We stayed in a three bedroom condo. We were met by David who gave us all the information about our unit. In addition, he told us about the best restaurants, activities, golf and day trips. His advice was right on. He could not have been more helpful and accommodating, and he gave us his time generously. The unit was comfortable and well stocked. While some aspects might need updating, it provided for all our needs. It was clean and perfectly situated. Every evening we watched the sun set over the horizon while sitting on one of the two porches. We traveled the Ring of Kerry, and took day trips to all of the major towns, forts, castles and palaces around the ring. Waterville had some great walks; we recommend The Lobster and The Fisherman's bar. We treated ourselves to The smuggler on our last night; this too we highly recommend. My only regret was that one week was not enough,

We stayed at the Huntsman during the hottest week in Summer 2013. The views from our bedroom were breathtaking. The unit had recently been renovated and everything was very clean. Our host could not have been more helpful and provided us with quick friendly service. Don't miss the opportunity of dining at The Smugglers Inn nearby. 5 Star seafood and service.

We stayed here through RCI Timeshare & just cannot believe that a property as terrible as this is part of their portfolio. We have exchanged through RCI for almost 30 years and NEVER had such a horrendous experience. The unit was dirty, the appliances old &/or broken and the grounds in an appalling state of disrepair. We felt sorry for the custodian - he did mention to us that he exepected the place to close down in the not to distant future. We were due to stay for a week but left after 4 days... It was just too awful.. Which is quite something for us to say as we have lived for many years in 3rd world countries! We should have taken note of Tomche's review! You can see that in its hey day this would have been a beautiful place to stay as it is positioned right on the waterfront in a very picturesque village on the Ring of Kerry.

We stayed at the Huntsman from 23rd Oct to 6th Nov, we found the apartment had all we needed, there was ample crockery and other utensils, the furniture was high quality, with TV and DVD player. The bedroom was really nice, the bed very comfortable The bathroom would have been better with just a bath instead of a jacuzzi, and a shower instead of the sauna, but there was a shower downstairs. The wallpaper was beginning to lift on the edges, and there were water stains as well, but the week we were there we had gales and heavy rain and they did get worse, after all we were on the Atlantic. The apartment could perhaps do with a good clean, there was some rubbish and dust on top of the large unit, and the rear door was rather dirty, but apart from that it was not bad at all being the end of the season. Waterville itself is a really nice place to stay, and the apartments are almost right on the beach. We would stay there again if we were down in that area, and i could recommend the Huntsman to anyone who wants a quiet and peaceful place to stay

We stayed at the Huntsman in August of this year and found it to be delightful! Of course it's old,,,Ireland's old! It was clean, comfortable, and walking distance to the charming village! I shared the pullout bed and have never slept on one that comfortable! We felt safe enough to leave the porch door open enough to hear the waves while we slept. If you want a five star hotel with all the bells and whistles, this won't interest you. But if you want peace and quiet and a charming stay, this is it! Would stay again!
