We celebrated my daughters Communion here, I cannot put into words, how amazing the day was from start to finish. When we walked into the room, we were just in complete amazement, the decor was just out of this world, Mark Muldoon done an absolute amazing job, beyond our expectations. The waiting staff we had, just went above and beyond, Keelan, Aoife and Laoise, they couldn't have been any more helpful, nothing was to much for them. Martin the chef, the food was amazing, the display of each dish was 5 star, especially the fish cakes, caesar salad and most of all the best filled croquette we have ever had, each dish was more than plentiful. We cannot thank the staff enough for how easy they made the day for us.
It’s a lovely hotel nice and clean..seemed short staffed..tried ordering breakfast to the room left menu choices on door handle both mornings it was never collected but glad we went down breakfast was fabulous…no water offered at dinner had to take cutlery from a different table as we had none..no ice bucket given for 2 bottles Prosecco ordered for on arrival I called for them to be sent up they were warm..food is amazing both bar and restaurant
We stayed in Athlone Springs Hotel a few days ago and I like to congratulate them on the lovely friendly staff, and the beautiful breakfast we got each morning with loads of different food available. If staying there you can get a bus just outside the hotel into town ,buses every 20 minutes.Thank you and keep up the good work in your hotel
We had a family meal after my father in laws anniversary mass and from start to finish it was perfect. The staff went above abd and beyond and our server Tierna was so helpful. The food was too class and I personally thanked Chef Martin after. We are back there next week for our daughters Holy Communion and really looking forward to it.
We visited the Athlone Springs Hotel at the beginning of May and I must say, on what can only be described as a grey, wet and miserable day, we were warmly welcomed at the front desk by a woman named Colleen. She ensured everything was ready for us, asked us where we were from and reassured us that if there was anything we needed to let her know. Colleen's warm welcome was professional yet personal and set a great tone to the start of our break! The Athlone Springs is very lucky to have her. Our room was spacious, modernly decorated with everything we needed. With the exception of our hairdryer not having a nosel, the room was flawless. Perhaps this was just the hair dryer in room 212. Food and drinks in the Ceser Restaurant was flawless. We all had something different to eat but couldn't fault any of the dishes! We were particularly impressed with the Oriental Chicken stir fry! All cocktails were expertly made and all staff were chatty and professional. Highly recommend the martini and whiskey sour. Live music from 10 and really added to the atmosphere pitched at a lovely volume where we could still converse, but sing along if we wanted. The pool and leisure centre was also conveniently located next to the hotel. The gym was spacious and had a wide range of machines and equipment. The changing rooms were clean and spacious with private shower rooms to accommodate privacy. The sauna and steam room were also a lovely addition. However, we were sorely disappointed that the Jacuzzi was out of service for maintenance. We asked a young woman working there when it would be working again, and she just said it was too hot and would take hours to cool down. She was a bit harsh in her explanation and so we decided to leave the pool immediately after. She told us that if we had any issues to contact the manager Aidan, but again seemed a bit harsh in her explanation. Overall, we would stay in this hotel again. Dine in the restaurant and recommend to all friends and family. High praise to Colleen who set the tone for an enjoyable staycation!…
Our room was in perfect condition. Furniture was extremely comfortable and everything was working as it should. The leisure centre was also excellent with plenty of facilities in both the gym and swimming pool. The location is also excellent as it is very quiet, but also only a tiny stroll away from a shopping area where there are supermarkets, take-aways etc.
Very nice hotel with very good facilities. It was a little disappointing to have to eat in the bar area rather than in the beautiful dining room where we had a very good breakfast. The spa is excellent but lacking in having a machine to take excess water from swim suits. Overall we would recommend this hotel.
Really excellent business set up. Stefan, in particular, was fantastic. He couldn't do enough to help. I ran into some technical difficulties and he sorted them out for me smoothly without any panic. Very accommodation and approachable.
Hotel was amazing. Staff were very friendly. We were served by Tierna who told us it was no bother to have a quiet drink before our meal(we didn’t book a table into the bar so this was great) and were seated by another very friendly person standing at front reception inside bar. We arrived at the bar. service was great, comfortable seating area and our strawberry cocktail was top quality. The man at the bar was quick making them too which made it better he was friendy. We were then moved to the restaurant for our meal which was amazing. We passed along our complements to a member of staff to bring to the attention of the chef. Food 10/10 service 10/10
