We found the Lodge on the internet for a one night stay on our way between Limerick and Monaghan. The room was very clean and comfortable and at €40 per person per night was a good deal. The owner was charming and welcoming and her recommendations for dinner and a morning walk worked out very well.

We arrive late the night 28th of July and the owners were very helpful and very kind. They offered us to bring us to an italian restaurant we have already reserved because we were late to the reservation. I will defintly recomend the Glasson Stone Lodge. We were a family with 9 persons.

Stayed overnight in the family room and can recommend it. The owners gave us a friendly welcome and even gave us a choice of rooms. The family room is very spacious with a a clean ensuite. It is at the back and looks out on garden. There is plenty of off road parking, good wifi and plenty of toiletries. Breakfast was good although we did not have a cooked breakfast but good range of cereals and fruit. There are three places within walking distance to eat.

We were thrilled to get a room at this lovely house last minute after traveling with friends all day. The rooms were gorgeous - expansive and clean and the hosts were very warm. Delicious breakfast, too. Wished we could have stayed another day.

We stayed in a family room (2 adults + a 7-year old). The room was spacious and perfectly clean, modern and with all mod cons you could need (2 beds, TV, ensuite bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities). Little extra touches included like a well stocked bathroom (hair mousse, face wipes, even shaving mousse). Breakfast was better than many 4 or 5 star hotels, the house itself and the grounds are immaculate. The owners are friendly and accommodating. We stayed here as we could not get a hotel in the vicinity, however, this experience has changed my mind about B&B's in general. I would seek to stay here if I was in the area again.

We stayed in Glasson Stone Lodge B&B when we were on holidays in Ireland. The room was spacious and cozy! The breakfast included a variety of fruits and it was very healthy. The owner was very friendly and made us feel like home. The garden of the house was beautiful and in touch.

We stayed in stone lodge bed&breakfast as we were attending a wedding in the vicinity. It's excellently located in the village and was only 2km from wineport lodge. Carmel was most welcoming on our arrival. The room was beautifully decorated with modern soft furnishings and the furniture was hand painted perfectly! Loved this idea!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I entered our bathroom. There was a basket of ladies toiletries in the window along with cans of deodorant, hair moose and shaving foam. I've stayed in many places before and I've never seen this personal touch provided anywhere else. Then on the tea and coffee stand there were milk tray sweets on our saucers. Subtle touches but personal in their own way and it added to the experience. Oliver had kindly offered to…

Stayed here as we were attending a wedding in the Wineport Lodge, literally only 2 minutes away! It was perfect - ideally located & rooms lovely. Carmel couldn't have been more accomodating, friendly & helpful. I loved the personal touches like the toiletry basket in the bathroom - had everything you could ever need, I have never seen that in a B&B before, was fantastic! Breakfast was top-class too, really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend Glasson Stone Lodge & would definitely stay here again!

An outstanding B&B. We stayed with Carmel and Oliver on June 4th & 5th, 2015. The room was bright, comfortable, and very accommodating; with three restaurants/pubs and a few shops within walking distance. Their knowledge of the local area was very helpful as we attempted to conduct some genealogical work. Carmel's brown bread was exceptional! The Stone Lodge would be our first choice if we were staying in the Athlone-Glasson area again.
