Pj ,Luke and fitzy were so friendly and accommodating to us new visitors from UK,They were so nice to us and served us delicious drinks, they were so friendly and Chatty and ultimately made my experience of this hotel unforgettable:) while pouring drinks they kept up conversations with us as if they have know us our whole lives ,they are so sweet and kind, working at the bar :)
Chosen for its proximity to Athlone town. Nice well maintained grounds with some very impressive trees. Bedroom was comfortable. Well appointed bathroom. Breakfast was a buffet and plenty of food available. Plenty of parking. Every effort seems to be made to create an enjoyable place to stay.
I like the Shamrock Lodge. I often stay in it when I go to Athlone. This time I was here for three nights. The staff as usual could not do enough to help and were always friendly and approachable. Excellent selection of channels on the TV and it was great to be able to log in to Netflix away from home. Porridge an option at breakfast which was great. Food portions were quite large in both the bar and the bistro - this isn't a problem, but it might be the case that someone might just want a starter sized portion rather than a full meal. Quite, spacious bedroom, not too warm at night Good bathroom, strong shower with plenty of hot water. I might suggest just putting a grab rail in the shower/bath as stepping into the bath could be a safety risk for some.
What a great hotel ! Got in late afternoon , had a conference elsewhere and got back to hotel late. Was served a couple of beers from Aaron who was great company. Will definitely be back again thank you very much and would recommend the shamrock lodge hotel.
Shower dripped all night, very loud, keeping both of us awake. Key card stopped working to enter the room every time - had to go to reception every time we wanted to enter our room, which happens every time we stay here which has been at least three times. When we went for breakfast we were left standing outside for 10 minutes before given a table, and staff did not acknowledge us, gave tables to people that came after us. Food was okay, not great, staff seemed uninterested and unwilling to help.
Beautiful hotel with quiet surroundings, the accommodation includes breakfast, rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is not in the town centre however it's located at a walkable distance (10-15min)
I have never before posted a review on this site but after three nights last week at our Daughter's Wedding i feel I need to share our experience. The staff at the Shamrock Lodge , Alan and all his team gave us the best experience of our lives . They were so helpful and courteous to everyone and went above and beyond to make our stay such an enjoyable one. The food , rooms were all excellent with such attention to detail. Thank you Alan and all at The Shamrock Lodge. Regards Noel Gallagher
Booked this lovely Hotel for our Daughters Communion Day. Customer service was fantastic from start to finish, staff very professional and welcoming to all our guests! Food was excellent with a great menu for events like ours! We booked the princess grace suite - beautiful room spotlessly clean! Highly recommend this Hotel!
Stayed here for Two Nights for a Hen Party in March. We had large two bedroom apartments - they were massive and were so clean! Highlight of the stay were the staff - they could not do enough for us!! Perfect place for groups or families
Lovely spacious rooms, with loads of storage and big bathrooms in the family rooms. The staff were helpful and friendly. Great breakfast and nice bar food. A very handy location, only a few minutes walk from the town centre.
