Stayed here on the 22nd of December for 1 night. Felt very safe. Staff were so polite and efficient. Views of the lake are simply beautiful. Food was very good in the restaurant. Really enjoyed having breakfast in room. Will definitely return.
Great stay, felt very safe. Everything was right about this staycation - all the staff wore masks at all times, social distancing in the bar and restaurant. Room was lovely with a view of the lake, food was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended 👍👍
Was a fabulous hotel and such nice staff, felt so relaxed when we arrived for one night and safe but unfortunately we were woken up eight times with the fire alarm due to a porter lighting the fires. This really ruined the night that we had and went from us planning our next trip to debating would we come back.
We were lucky enough to squeeze in a one night break in the midst of the madness leading up to Christmas. As for most i am sure, this was one of very few items in our diary that we managed to keep this year and what a lovely way to end a strange year. The entire team were so lovely and friendly. We booked a suite which was so spacious and quiet, we had a beautiful dinner as part of our rate, enjoyed the hot tubs on the day or arrival and departure and had room service on our balcony the following morning to make the most of the gorgeous rooms and view we had. This was a perfect night away from the world, so peaceful and relaxing and i would recommend wineport lodge to anyone. To the team, i commend you. I work in hospitality also and can understand the hard work and challenges going on behind the scenes on what has been a difficult year for you. With that said, there was not a moment that we experienced anything but smiles and warmth form you all. We will be back, thank you!…
We had a 'Blue Book' Voucher to use so we de to spend it here. My wife read the reviews and they were all good. I will say from the outset. This is a lovely place, with lovely attentive staff. However, this place is not for families, and I just get that it is aimed at a up-market clientele, but I can't see why, if it's a marketing ploy, or if I don't have a clue, but I can't see where the value is. We spent €315 on a dinner, bed and breakfast "deal". The Hereford steak on the menu was €34. Starters we €15. The restaurant is nice. Grand. But if this is fine dining, give me a carvary any day. The only real issue I had was the bed been too soft. But that's a personal opinion. All said, this is a lovely hotel for couples who want to spend over the odds on a hotel. There is nothing here for young kids and nothing really to see around the place. Nice, but not for me.…
