I stayed at the Hudson Bay this December the weekend before Christmas. I had the best time, I was delighted with the size of the bedroom. I stayed with two other friends and usually we are squashed into bedroom at other hotels. At the Hudson however, we had plenty of space to get ready for dinner and drinks. We had predinner drinks followed by dinner in the restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was faultless. All staff we encountered throughout the hotel were polite, friendly and couldnt do enough for us. One of my friends had to leave early the next morning and the hotel staff arranged a taxi and got her some breakfast for her trip to the train station. At the hotel, there was plenty of hand sanitiser and floor marking was visible to help with social distancing. I will definitely be returning for a stay at the Hudson Bay in the future.

I had a delightful stay at the beautifully decorated Hudson Bay during Christmas. I was impressed by the size and quality of the bedroom. I stayed with two other friends and usually we are squashed into bedroom at other hotels. Not at the Hudson, we had plenty of space to move around in the bedroom. The beds were comfy and I had a brilliant night sleep. I cannot express how amazing the food was in the restaurant. I would highly recommend the scallop meal and my friend’s steak was divine. I am gluten tolerance and the hotel has mini gluten free pies as a dessert choice which I was delighted by! All staff I encountered throughout the hotel were polite, friendly and efficient, in particular a manager Mark. The staff arranged a taxi for me to bring me to the station. No request was too much for them. We can’t forgot that we are in Covid times and there was plenty of hand sanitiser and notices about how to keep safe. Floor marking was visible to help with social distancing. I will definitely be rebooking the Hudson Bay in the future.

I stayed the 19th of Dec with two friends as a Christmas treat. From the minute we arrived to leaving I felt relaxed and safe. There safety processes are very clear and there hand sanitizer stations are at all the main points of entry to any part of the hotel, these were all working and functioning perfectly. After checking into our room, we went to the bar to have a few drinks, we were shown to our seats straight away and had prompt table service from Shane every time we wanted a drink. We went for dinner in the restaurant at 8.30pm and the food was amazing. We had a member of the party who is gluten intolerant the menu was clearly marked with what options they have and they even got to have a dessert. We were served by the lovely Isabelle who was wonderful and professional from start to finish. After our delightful meal we went back to the bar for another few drinks, again we were shown to our table for drinks straight away and had prompt table service. In line with covid regulations at the time the bar closes earlier but we were given notice of this and asked would we like another drink before the bar closed. Our room was perfect for the 3 of us, it was clean and spacious. We had booked breakfast for the morning as well for us and again we were seated promptly to our table and served our food. I would stay again with no hesitation, all the staff we encountered were so friendly and professional.

My wife and I had a wonderful 4 night stay over the Christmas Period. We've stayed before at this time of year, and whilst the Covid 19 restrictions reduced the numbers of guests we were treated like royalty. The staff were extremely helpful, we also include the sanitising crew who worked tirelessly day and night to keep us all safe. The food was excellent and plentiful, also it was nice to be able to have a pint of draft Guinness, such a treat as the 'wet@ pubs have been closed since March 2020. Congratulations to all the staff
