We called in here on our way back from Clifden, for lunch. It was a Sunday, and busy, but the friendly staff found us a table. The food was good and the service was very good. We would visit here again.

We stayed in the Restaurant of the Boat Inn before...and were this time again delighted by the excellent and mouth-watering quality of the breakfast, the amazing standard Irish Breakfast as well as the Porridge with fresh fruit. Very good value for money. I can really recommend this Restaurant !

Dropped into Boat Inn on Sunday evening. Never there previously and late travelling through the village. Really pleased to get a table. Staff were welcoming and service was warm and  polite.   Nice selection on the menu. I went for the slow cooked lamb shank: just super. Great taste and accompanying veg was fresh and cooked well (i.e. not this broccoli...

Good selection on the menu, I had steak & partner had the bacon & cabbage. Both good filling meals that where reasonably priced. It wasn't overly crowded for a summer Tuesday evening & got a table for 10 of us easily enough. Not long waiting for the food & good service by the staff. I'd recommend a visit!

I've visited and stayed twice now this year and always enjoyed my stay. Nice accommodation, great food and the best pint of Guinness in Ireland. The price is also wet reasonable and the staff very accommodating. I thoroughly recommend this place!

Was expecting traditional Irish fayre and was very pleasantly surprised by them modern twist on these dishes. The surf and turf; pork belly & prawns and bacon and cabbage were of note. Kid friendly and very good service and more atmosphere in the early evening than some of the other larger venues in Oughterard.

Stayed 2 nights in the Boat Inn, given a room at the front of the building facing out on to the main road. On the first morning @ 6:00 am the cabling contractors began work pulling a cable through underground ducting using a digger, the noise of the digger reversing, beep, beep, beep ..... non stop. No sleep from then...

On route to Clifden savagely hungry after skipping lunch, I stopped at The Boat Inn looking for a quick snack. I ordered a soup & sandwich. Service was very efficient & I was soon devouring a lovely homemade meal. I decided on my way back home to return there for breakfast & had delicious smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. Another...
