We had a great stay at the Waterfront, greeted by Mary who was very friendly and gave us a good talk about what is there to do and visit around the county.
Rooms were great, the view idyllic, we got two rooms next to each other as we were traveling with my parents.
Breakfast was a great start to the day, Mary always made sure we were happy and full before leaving for the day. Made accommodations about the tea we preferred and even noticed my dad and sister didn’t eat the warm tomatoes with the Irish breakfast on the first day, so they weren’t served any the next day. A very nice touch, where you see the hostess care about her visitors.
Would definitely recommend staying here and will come back if we are back in the region. 🇮🇪👏🏻🤍

It rained when I arrived but I still enjoyed my one night stay at Mary's and Tom's comfortable home. I think it's a great place to stay between Galway and Connemara national park. It's quiet and peaceful and has lovely views of the lake plus the greenery outside my bedroom window. Mary and Tom are perfect hosts. When I come back one day, I'll bring my parents along and I know my dad would love to play a few rounds of golf at the golf course nearby.

Very rude, wouldn't recommend staying there. Went to the nearby castle and decided to drive by the lake, pulled in by the road away from the guest house and the viewing point at the lake and just as I got out of the car I the woman came from inside and told me to go as its private land, at no point was I on private land as it's a public road. Not very welcoming at all really

The peaceful drive to the Waterfront Country Home after a long days travel was lovely. The view from the front bedrooms and veranda is tranquil and relaxing. You would find yourself watching the water and swans for long periods of time.
Upon arriving Mary was there to greet us with warm Irish hospitality and a friendly smile. Her knowledge of the area was very helpful in finding unique places for dining and shopping. Although Oughterard was a short drive away the locals where more than happy to share their stories and what was of interest to see in the area.
Mary provides a wonderful experience of what a B & B has to offer in the terms of home away from home. Comfortable beds, true Irish breakfast and wonderful company. I really enjoyed our chats and sharing stories of our journey. Thank you Mary for opening your home to strangers and making us feel welcomed. I look forward to my return and to hear and see more of your beautiful countryside

Me and my husband stayed there for 2 nights. We slept in a room with a lovely view of the lake and Mary let us use their boat for a couple of hours. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the view was great.
One little downside was the bugs that came from the window when it was open because it was quite worm so Mary asked us not to open the window when the lights are on.

Mary , military style ! Rude ! Ordered us away as we arrived at 3pm and say that the rooms weren't available until 4pm. Place was basic , dirty , and smelled..... the beds were uncomfortable and dusty , breakfast was basic .... what the good reviews are about I have no idea , worst place in the area , surviving on the view I guess.

Superbly located at the edge of the River Corrib, this B and B is charming. The hostess had asked us to call ahead of our arrival but none of our calls could even get through. When we did arrive, we were welcomed in an un Irish manner..more distant than warm . The hostess rapidly pointed out that we had "grass on our shoes" clearly implicating that we were better off shoeless in her house. Having said that, the room was comfortable and clean (we remembered to take off our shoes outside there after). The breakfast was very good but this is not a place to book into if you want to have an early start. Breakfast is served only around 8.30 AM, This meant that instead of leaving to discover the Connemara before 8 AM as hoped for we could only leave after 9 AM.

The B&B is slightly on the outskirts of Oughterard but it is a lovely location down a beautiful lane past the golf course. It is located on the very edge of the Lough and even has a couple of small rowing boats available to use.
We received a very warm welcome upon arrival and a warm goodbye upon leaving the following morning.
The room was nice and the breakfast was lovely.

Mary was the perfect hostess. She was friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were great with a full Irish and a basket of homemade breads, cereal, fresh juice etc. Facilities for making hot drinks during the stay. Good bars with music a short drive away and reasonably cheap taxi was arranged. Good wifi. But the best thing was the view.....stunning...any closer to lough Corrib and you would be swimming.

Hi, Do you have a ground floor room available for 3 adults from April 2-4

Zwaag from the Netherlands is right, only the owner can confirm this. Though I think the family lives on the ground floor and rents out rooms on the 1st floor, but please check.
