Now granted, the first impression of this comfortable B&B was the brilliant sunset as we drove from downtown Galway. Updated and immaculate bathrooms, lovely sleeping rooms, a bright dining space with views of the yard and gardens. Jerry and Mary anticipate every need and enjoy what they do - it shows! Within walking distance of Power’s Thatch Pub and Restaurant as well as Faherty’s Pub, for full, joyful Irish experiences. A couple of great days and a a lifetime of memories!

Property's Favourite Review
This was a last minute booking as I was doing a mountain skills course and needed lodgings for one night. From making initial contact to leaving, the overall experience was fantastic. Gerry and Mary were prompt with replies by email. Donna was welcoming and provided an excellent full Irish breakfast which was needed to fuel up for a day in the Maamturk mountains. The room was very comfortable, clean and clearly well maintained. The shower took a bit of time to warm up but eventually a hot shower was enjoyed. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I had a deep sleep. The guest house is 2 minutes drive to the town so we'll situated. I look forward to returning and enjoying the hospitality of Carrown Tober House again.

Mary and Jerry were the ultimate hosts of this lovely experience. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. All the comforts of home were provided. Wonderful breakfast served in a lovely setting with lots of natural light. Jerry also serves as the chef and is absolutely fantastic. It was within walking distance of town that had a number of shops and pubs to experience. I can’t say enough how warm and welcoming this visit was.

We stayed over a night during our Wild Atlantic tour. Mary is an excellent host! She waited for us until 7pm even though we informed her last minute. She kindly offered tea and cookies when we arrived. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had a tasty breakfast and homemade breads in the morning. We will definitely come back another time to stay longer.. Btw Carrown Tober House has a beautiful garden that you can enjoy a lot especially summer time.. Thank you very much Mary Lots of love ❤️ Jennifer & Selen

From the welcome we received until the time we left our stay couldn’t have been better. Our room was perfectly clean and spacious and the breakfast was delicious. We could not recommend this beautiful place any better. We were given great advice on what to see and where to go. Even in these uncertain times we highly recommend not being afraid to travel. And particularly don’t be afraid to book your time here. Many thanks. We will definitely plan on revisiting.

Stayed here for two nights on our trip around the west and south coast delighted we picked here the rooms were really large and comfy and modern decor. They were clean and beds were comfy and everything felt safe and clean with covid atm. The owners Mary and Gerry were really welcoming and very informative about the surrounding area. The breakfast was great and we could pick and choose what to have it was full Irish for us which kept us going all day to the evening. The gardens surrounding area well kept and ample parking to the side of the B&B we were also welcomed each day by the friend dog in the garden. Overall it was really great value for money and walking distance into the town such a great stay will be back again hopefully in the future thanks again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Carrowntober House. The WiFi was great, strong enough for our teenagers to be pleased with it. Our host was very accommodating, allowing us to check in early. The family en-suite room was spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast atmosphere was great, sitting in a sun room with Irish music playing. It was great to be able to walk to the town centre for restaurants.

We turned up at Crossriver B&B where we had booked in for last night. Unfortunately they had a leak and so booked us in at Carrowntober House B&B. This place is supposedly a 4 star, dad to say the facilities in our rooms were 3 star. However, they more than made up with the breakfast. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the cooked food.
