With a large outdoor deck leading onto the Marina, and fully glass fronted bar and restaurant to make the most of the commanding views, this is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy great locally inspired cuisine, good Bewley's Tea & Coffee or even a cocktail between exploring the local attractions such as Arigna Mining Experience or Lough Key Forest Park.

We stayed 3 nights at the Leitrim Marina Hotel in The Shannon Side Studio Apartment in an annex to the hotel. We were so happy with our choice. This is a lovely place to stay. We were checked in by the lovely Colette (I am sure management realise what an asset she is!!!) and made feel very welcome and safe. Colette gave an overview of the Covid restrictions and how they applied on our visit to the hotel. We were very pleased with the suite, it was very spacious and airy with a lovely balcony overlooking the Shannon and the Marina to the front of the hotel. We dined in the restaurant on the first evening and had a lovely meal. I require GF options and happy to see a separate GF menu with wide selection. Staff wore masks, used sanitation stations regularly and made us feel comfortable. We had drinks on the terrace and relaxed watching the boats berth. Breakfast was a positive experience In the restaurant with SD tables, good selection on breakfast menu and Danielle and Esabelle confidently took care of us each morning of our stay. The village is 2 mins away with shop/bars and restaurants at hand. It is a good location to explore lovely Leitrim. We had nice days out. There are lots to do in the Area, exploring the Shannon Blueway, a drive along the coast, Carrick on Shannon, Lough Key Park, King House in Boyle, Drumshanbo and Arigna Mines. We dined two evenings at the hotel and enjoyed both times, nice menu. We felt very relaxed on our stay and would be happy to return again. Recommend for a staycation. Thank you to all the staff at Leitrim
Maria Hotel who helped made our stay so enjoyable.

We arrived in the Leitrim Marina Hotel after departing Carrick on Shannon on our river adventure. It was a first visit to Leitrim village and the Marina Hotel and what a lovely surprise. We were instantly welcomed by Robbie and all of the staff made us feel at home, we were really delighted to find the hotel. We had dinner on several nights, the Marina burger was the best burger I've ever had, and the views over the river and surrounding countryside were really amazing. We left the marina each morning but found ourselves veering back to the Marina hotel each evening as it just couldnt be beaten for location, service, and quality. Its a truly special place. We will definitely return in the future. Thank you to everyone in the Hotel.

Fantastic meal last Saturday night in Leitrim Marina Hotel, food was excellent followed by some amazing cocktails. Staff so friendly while adhering to fantastic social distancing and Covid 19 practices. We we’re sitting near the hand dispenser and every time staff passed they did their hands.

Had lunch here recently (22/07) and while the food was lovely I was very disappointed with the safety measures in place for COVID 19. None of the staff were wearing visors or face masks and our details were not taken for contact tracing. When I asked about this I was told details are only taken in the evening !!!! On a positive note there were separate entry and exit and hand sanitizer available. However I would not visit here again. I have visited restaurants in the past week where I felt customer and staff safety was a priority but unfortunately not here.

Hi Lorraine, thank you for visiting, I am disappointed to read you felt uncomfortable during your visit. I can confirm the hotel is working to Failte Ireland Safety Charter with a full Covid defense strategy in place. A thorough hygiene system using Ecolab products preferred by the HSE, strict staff hand hygiene system and daily staff temperature checks in place. A full risk assessment based on the physical and operational structure of the hotel has found our facemask policy is fully compliant with current legislation and safety protocols, this assessment states the wearing of masks by front of house staff is not mandatory at this time. Staff have been trained to keep a discreet social distance. I have found most of our guests prefer the balance we have struck between safety and hospitality. We do take contact details for one member of each household and if that didn't occur for you it must have been an oversight, I am very proud of the commitment the staff have made to keeping our guests safe. You can appreciate we are all getting used to the new way we have to live as a society, but I can assure you we will constantly review, develop and improve our procedures.

We were back for a visit at the end of the hotels last season, we were so happy to be out again and what a surprise to see the newly renovated outdoor seating area. We just loved dining there is comfortable surroundings watching the boats coming and going. Special mention to Conor and Danielle who both made our visits to the restaurant so enjoyable. Delicious Pan Fried fillet of hake for me and the hubby was raving about the "famous" louisiana chicken wings. The rooms were spotless clean and comfortable. We just rebooked for 2022 and hear from host Colette that the rooms have been upgraded for the new season, looking forward to seeing the new decor. You have guessed by now, we really love this place. Go visit and see for yourself.

A one night stay at this hotel and it was excellent. The receptionist clearly explained the social distancing and hygiene arrangements in a friendly and informative manner. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms spacious. There is a friendly and homely atmosphere and the staff are helpful and approachable. Ample parking and convenient to explore the bluway. Evening meal was very good and well priced. Will be back!

This is a low budget, very dated and extremely overpriced hotel, I would say 1 star charging 4 star prices. I would have a major question mark over previous 4 and 5 star reviews. The rooms are very dated, there is nothing deluxe about the rooms, there was a damp feeling in the room and a musky smell, tv has 3 working stations no satalite, only tolietries supplied was a dirty looking bottle of shower gel. the walls are so thin you can hear EVERYTHING from your neighbours. Leitrim marina hotel needs to half the prices they are currently charging or up the standards majorly.

I must take issue with you dismissing other guests opinions, we mostly do achieve good reviews for both the hotel standards and guest service. Failte Ireland carry out rigorous property inspections and the experts constantly award '3 Star Plus' status. It is a peaceful hotel and guests usually do report and excellent nights sleep. Booked a two night offer at the Leitrim Marina Hotel, which included dinner on one evening.

Hotel was very clean with sanitisers in several locations and a one-way system for entry and exiting the bar and restaurant.

Colette on Reception and Conor in the bar were really lovely. A credit to the hotel.

There is not much to do in the local area and the weather was unfavourable, which was a shame. There is a lovely terrace overlooking the marina which, regrettably , was closed throughout our visit.

What we didn't like was that there was nowhere comfortable to sit and relax as the hotel is small.

I enjoyed my meal in the restaurant but my husband's was poor.

Dear Guest, many thanks for choosing to visit the hotel and for your kind comments about the staff. Unfortunately your visit coincided with the lifting of the lock down in Ireland so a lot of the local attractions and activities were still closed. It is difficult times at the moment but we are happy to report a lot of things have reopened especially outdoor and spacious activities.

The Leitrim marina hotel is a very nice and well run hotel. The location is ideal because even thought the village is quiet there are lots to do and see just a short drive away. The busy town of Carrick on Shannon is only minutes away. A visit to Acres lake in Drumshambo is well worth while for a beautiful walk. The staff in the hotel were very friendly (especially Collette at reception) and helpful and also knowledgeable about the area. I would definitely stay again and hope to soon.
