Detailed Reviews
I very rarely comment on trip advisor, but felt I had to as a result of the incredibly professional service we received from Sullivan’s recently. We are local to the hotel and, due to the current climate, arranged catering for a very small family gathering after a first communion. The team of 2 arrived right on time, dressed in fresh aprons beside the van and wore appropriate protective clothing to bring the food into the house. They set everything up very quickly and were out of the house promptly leaving us only to serve the very well made food. Everyone commented on how the team made them feel at ease with their cleanliness and attitude, and even during the booking process we were never made to feel uncomfortable as we changed the numbers due to people unable to come.
Absolutely could not recommend them highly enough for this type of small function - an easy and well deserved 5 stars from us and keep up the great service 👍🏻

I often drop in here on my way home to Athenry but usually only for a quick soup and sandwich..food is always fresh and tasty. with a level 5 lockdown approaching before Xmas I decided to treat my family to a "last supper". On arrival staff were friendly and attentive .Food was homely tasty and plentiful . we had a vegetarian, a coeliac and a fussy 6 yr old ..all catered for without any problem . It was reassuring to see staff all wearing masks and our menus were sanitised between customers , and tables were spaced out .We felt really safe dining here . Only downside is we had no room to sample the dessert menu .

Been here a good bit in the last few weeks and again today. Friends birthday lunch and the meal was turned into an occasion with the staff impromptu choir. Superb food with all plates cleared, really top notch cappuccinos and the birthday treats thrown in.
Specials are always something 'new', set menu is extensive, place is always spotless and the staff chats and service make you feel really welcome.
Restaurant / bar was a hive of activity which is great to see as we try get back to normal and Sullivans food was a constant throughout it all.

We just stopped here while passing through with our 6 month old daughter. The staff were very helpful and friendly offering us a high chair and a “baby bowl” of mash and soup for the little one.
The mash was exquisite.
A big hit for onion lovers, which we are, the steak was reasonably priced for a big steak and came served on a bed of sautéd onions. Delicious and unusual. It was topped with three large onion rings and came with a salad..... with onions.
Delicious.
Top marks all round for the team at the hotel. Mark my word we will be back.

We eat here on and off, i can't really describe the Customer Service to you, it is second to non, the staff treat locals and tourists the same, a big welcome for everyone.
The place is spotlessly clean and Covid procedures seem to be adhered to all the time.
The food is fresh and so reasonable in price, you will not leave here hungry.
This place is an institution, it seems to be hopping most of the day but never feels crowded.
I haven't stayed in the hotel but if the welcome for breakfast, lunch or dinner is anything to go by you are in for a treat.

Fresh , fabulous food. The Atlantic Way Chowder incredible and the Pavlova dessert the best I’ve ever had . Cheerful servers ( our server was Erin ) and great covid protocols . Well ventilated , servers wearing masks , hand sanitizer on the tables . Nicely spaced out without losing the cosy Irish hotel feel. May just come here every night .

Stopped in here with my two sons on Saturday evening on the way home from Cork. I had been at a large wedding (300+) of a good friend of mine a couple of years ago and had been impressed with the food and the service and had been promising to pay a visit ever since. There was a lady Mary at the time, who was probably Manager who had been incredibly efficient and professional on that occasion.
On Saturdays visit I had the seafood linguine which was fresh and delicious. My two boys had the 5 spiced sweet chilli chicken which they devoured. I am not a fan of sweet chilli but tasted theirs and it was fab. We were served by a mature lady called Ann who was just so pleasant. It makes such a change nowadays to have a server who actually engages in conversation with you. She couldn’t have been nicer , a serious asset to the serving team. We had creme brûlée for dessert which was the best I’d ever had.
I don’t pass through Gort much but let there be no doubt, I will stopping here again, if anywhere in the vicinity. Hotels typically serve carvery food which is fine but bland and tasteless, typically. Credit to this hotel to have such a varied menu. Staff here are welcoming and attentive. Keep up the good work guys.

The moment we entered the premises Mairead took control, showed us to a table, made us feel comfortable and confident we were in safe hands. The interior is traditional as was the food just what we were looking for an old school warm and relaxed environment to recover from a long walk in the forest. i will remember Mairead for her professional and humorous approach. The food is good and prices reasonable. My two guests were locals who recommended Sullivans they seemed to take it all in their stride, for me it was a special experience of Irish hospitality that i will treasure and take back with me on my return journey to London.

We were lucky enough to regroup again as a family after the lonely Covid period. Having had a great experience in Sullivan's in the past we decided this was again the venue for our family celebration and Sunday lunch.
Not much had changed despite all the challenges faced in the hotel business of late. The offerings were still varied, tasty plates of deliciousness and of course service with a smile. Our thanks to Mary, her sister Ann and their AMAZING team. We were served with a great sense of professionalism by Caoimhe and Louise and Roisin at the desk coped with complex bill arrangements with calm and courtesy. There is an energy and focus on the costumer in Sullivans that is a joy to experience and we will hopefully be back again soon!

My boyfriend and I were staying outside Gort, the plan was to eat someplace different everyday. Specially when I work with food for a living. First day was o sullivan we had dinner, the food came out so hot and so tasty , we loved it and specially for the price. We ended up eating there everyday trying something new.
Even though the place was full this lovely lady got us a great seat every time, that's why we also came coming back. She is one great business woman, had Everything under control at all times,
