The Lady Gregory is mostly a fine hotel which just needs some TLC in places. Checkin was efficient, friendly and with a smile ! Allocated room on the first floor which was good sized, a little dated and very wood heavy. The bed was very comfortable, and clean as you would expect. There was a kettle for tea and coffee... Room very large with massive bed, which was a bit hard. The room was far too hot even with windows open. It was a very good price, but the hotel is a bit dated. The breakfast was OK, but not much variety. The swimming was good but the steam rooms were closed for the 2 days we were there. Overall... More

We stayed here overnight on our way from Cork to Mayo. We were pleasantly surprised. There was a wonderful family feel about the place, the staff were excellent, room was spacious and the food was excellent.

We had a layover in Gort after seeing the Burren region and this is a solid 3 star hotel. We did not use much of the facilities but the room was adequate, quiet and comfortable. Cheap and cheerful, as they say. Plenty of free parking. The staff at the front desk could be more cheerful and hospitable.

I stayed in this hotel in August for a night as we were passing through. The hotel itself was lovely and the staff were very friendly. I was somewhat disappointed with the breakfast not with the quality of food but felt that there appeared to be only 2 staff on duty and they were under pressure trying to ensure that... More

Enjoyed our stay at The Lady Gregory for one night travelling late between Shannon and Connemara. The room was big and comfy. The staff were excellent. Special mention to Stella in the breakfast room, nothing too much trouble. Although mushrooms were not displayed I had my mushrooms especially cooked. Would stay again.

Good clean room of a good size, helpful staff in the restaurant & reception. Good breakfast, overall everything you need in a hotel, and if you like wood panelling then this will be your hog heaven, would stay again.

Arrived here on a Saturday evening recently for a spot of food and the place was in chaos. At first it looked busy but it actually wasn't that full. People had clearly been in earlier watching GAA qualifiers and there were stools and chairs strewn in disorder in front of the tv screen. Despite there being lots of free tables... More
