We are a golf group from Dublin and spent three nights in Ard Ris . The Hotel is a well lad out Hotel .The staff were fantastic from front of house ,restaurant and Bar . The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable, the food was great with a large selection on the menu and very fairly priced. I would highly recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed. We held our mum’s memorial service at the Ard Ri last weekend and the service and support from the whole staff team was second to none. The room was set out beautifully and the meal was first class. Thank you to everyone involved in making our weekend so special. Our guests all commented too on how comfortable the accommodation was and many will be making return visits.
In a nutshell it is far from luxurious, it is quiet rough around the edges. Has great potential just needs a serious refurbishment. - bed was very uncomfortable sadly that’s what really bothered me. - but on positive side the staff are extremely friendly & welcoming. - good atmosphere in the bar - food was really good and I didn’t think it would be - loads of parking around & east to find Would I return, probably not but might suit others.
Stayed for two nights when attending a funeral in Abbeyknockmoy. Couldn’t have wished for better accommodation. Lovely big bedroom, more like a suite. Spotlessly clean, would pass any cleanliness test with flying colours. Great full breakfast plus continental. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. A special mention to the helpful, friendly Receptionist Mary Ann.
We had our wedding in the Ard Ri House Hotel on 8th October. Siobhan, Jean and all the staff were very attentive and well organised. The food was really good everyone loved it. We had our ceremony in the hotel as well and the room was decorated beautifully. A lot of our guests stayed in the hotel and all agreed it was a great stay. There are some really good bar staff who are friendly and helpful with food/drink recommendations. We will be recommending the hotel to anyone planning a wedding.
Loads of parking. Great friendly welcome on check-in. Clean tidy room. Spotlessly clean en-suite. Comfortable beds. Tea/coffee facilities. Great breakfast choice. Handy place to stay if in North Galway area. Second time staying here and would return again. Fantastic value for money for a family room. Very friendly staff on check out too.
Recently spent 2 nights there, as attending a funeral nearby. Place was very modern and clean. Staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. Very happy with all the facilities. Would be very happy to stay there again
Stopped over whilst travelling around County Galway havin stopped there in the past when visiting family nearby. Great location on what was the N17 before the bypass was built. Liked the place first time round many years ago and pleased to see it is just as good now. Great food, accomodation and easy car parking unlike in Galway city hotels. Pleasant outdoor eating on a warm August week, Certainly recommend
Had a lovely stay at Ard Ri Hotel, Tuam, Co. Galway. Accommodation very good. Staff very helpful and friendly. Wasn't sure where to venture on Sunday and receptionist recommended St. Brigid's Celtic Garden and Cafe in Moycullen. It was a great choice. Food exceptional and portions just right. Would definitely stay again. We were very happy with Covid guidelines adhered to.
Located on the outside of Tuam this is less of a destination hotel and more out of convenience. I stayed here for two nights and upon entering the hotel had good expectations for it. The bar and restaurant were bustling and had a nice atmosphere. The reception area is also well decorated with fixtures and fittings to a high standard. The lady at reception was very welcoming and the check in process was effecient. Upon entering the room I was impressed by the size with an immediate sitting area, then a large bed and then to my surprise an additional large space with table and chairs. However as I settled into the room it became apparent the signs of time were showing. The furniture a little tired and showing the signs of wear and tear. Stained walls, chips in furniture, makeshift repairs in the bathroom etc. The biggest issue was unfortunately the bed. It was a fold down bed Murphy style bed. Each time you got on the bed is creaked and sequeled as the feet found even-setting on the ground. There was also no back head board to lean against. And laying fully back in bed left me in hope it wasn't going to fold up on me. While you lay there with your head cocooned inside the wooden surround you realise you can not get access to the bedside table or light. In addition there are were no plugs either side of the bed. The large seating area in the room could have been made into a suite room if adaquate furniture had been placed there. Finally the internet was a let down. No Teams meetings or streaming youtube. I measured this at 2mbps, the worst I have experienced. I even went down the corridor with the laptop connecting to different points to see if this could be improved upon. Breakfast was grand, served by the chef to your own choosing. A full Irish or continental with tea or coffee. I would recommend trying to go at a quieter moment in the morning. When busy things take time. Overall this has the potential to be a lovely hotel deserving of 5 stars. A few tweaks and upgrades here and there and I would happily stay again.…
