Detailed Reviews
Norely Theyre was a beautiful house, with a lovely comfortable large room and great breakfast. Frank and Sheila were so helpful with our driving plans. They made good suggestions and gave us directions to get to the local attractions. We ate at the local restaurant, Thyme and it was very good food.

My group was stood-up by another B&B and were happily rescued by Sheila and Frank, the wonderful owners of Norely Theyr. The rooms recently redecorated were large and comforable. The showers were hot as was the food at breakfast. Ground floor accomodation was welcomed by the group. I will definitely make Norely Theyr a stop with my groups.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Sheila and her loyal companion Lulu. She showed us our room which had a double and twin bed en-suite. The room was spacious and clean. The garden in the back was beautifull, colorful and in bloom. Sheila offered us tea in the sitting room and had nice biscuits to accompany. We shared some stories of heritage which was most interesting. She was very familiar with the local restuarants, pubs and pottery shopping and helped with directions and reccomendations. She even knew the bargains at the local Nicholas Mosse pottery factory and I was able to get a beautiful tablecloth for only E13. The next morning the full Irish breakfast was the best we had in Ireland. Her husband Frank was the chef while Sheila served and made sure everybody had plenty to eat. Frank gave us great directions that kept us safe on the unfamiliar Irish narrow roads. All in all the B & B was peaceful and relaxing. The location was wonderful, close enough to Kilkenny and perfect for our next location to Youghal. We would reccomend the Corner House Pub for some enjoyable local company, stories and the friendliest people in Ireland! We will definitely come back!!

Frank and Sheila were extremely nice and friendly. Frank is obviously well versed and provided us detailed directions to our next destination and recommended a stop at the Rock of Cashel. We've never heard of it and it turned out to be one of our favorite sights in everything we saw. The location was located less than ten minutes from Kilkenny and made for a perfect location close to the pubs. Sheila also advised us on free parking in the area. Reminded us of staying with our grandparents. We recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Norely Theyr. Frank and Sheila are a great, friendly couple and are lovely to talk to. Sheila is an outstanding cook and Frank knows the Irish roads like the back of his hand. He ensures you get the best route possible before you leave. You can tell they've been doing this a while and are very good at it. Very easy drive to Kilkenny. We highly recommend a stay here.

Your hosts Sheila and Frank are outstanding. They both go out of their way to make your stay memorable. We enjoyed a wonderful evening listening to the laugh filled stories provided by Frank. The B&B is located close to Kilkenny in a beautiful rural location. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Sheila was a wonderful hostess and prepared an excellent breakfast. Frank provided great directions for us to enjoy a scenic drive through the Irish countryside on our way to Cobh. A must stay if you are near Kilkenny.

Warm, lovely, spotlessly clean B&B. The breakfast was varied and delicious. Fresh breads and fruit plus a full Irish.
Frank gave us specific and easy driving directions to our next destination. Sheila could not have been more kind.

Lovely garden with birds, clean comfortable rooms, delicious made to order breakfasts with a variety of choices-the best berries that we had in Ireland! Shiela and Frank are wonderful hosts, very helpful and informative. Frank has a great sense of humor and provides detailed directions and background info! We had a room #3 with one window by the garden side and the other on the road side, so some sounds of passing cars but had a large bathroom. Our friends had #2 beside the back garden so very quiet. There are 5 rooms- one of which is upstairs.

My husband and I had a lovely stay with Sheila and Frank - wonderful hosts with great sense of humor and a beautiful property. We enjoyed conversation with the hosts well into the morning and really appreciated their travel recommendations (which were spot on)! Great accommodations - clean rooms, comfy beds and a good breakfast in the AM. We will definitely be back!

The house, and grounds, are almost as charming as the hosts. My wife and I had a 2 night stay and we're most pleased with the "homeliness". This is a very, very nice place, and the enjoyment began when we knocked on the door and the owner, Sheila, slowly opened the top half of the door and peered quizzically at us. This made me smile, and thusly we began to appreciate her humour. On our first evening we went to a quaint restaurant in Thomastown on Sheila's recommendation and it was super.
The next 2 mornings (at breakfast) we met Frank. Even though he nixed me having a Cats hurling t-shirt, I was completely enthralled with his gift of conversation. Hospitality in a B&B is very important and it is for shorely(pun, sorry) at Norely Theyr.
The rooms are very nice, and clean. We had a very spacious ensuite. The sitting room, and conversation with Sheila is just fabulous. The grounds are really beautiful and obviously receive a lot of love.
Upon our departure day, Frank gave us driving instructions, quite detailed, and were perfect. If we ever have the opportunity to return to Ireland we would most surely stay there again. It is located about 5 miles south of Kilkenny.
NOTE: Down the road a couple of days we had a chance meeting with a couple whom we had met there, and they were telling us that they had a bad driving mishap which caused their car to sustain 2 flat tyres. Even though the time was quite late in the evening Frank went and aided in making sure the repair shop was giving them the best available. Even giving the couple, rides and such getting certain tyres. NOW THAT'S HOSPITALITY!
