We were greeted by Mary, who showed us around the two bedroom house and explained everything we’d need to know for our 3 night stay. The house is well equipped with all that you’d need. Mary had even supplied, milk, butter, bread and biscuits, perfect as we hadn’t had chance to shop. There was also tea, coffee and sugar in...

The bungalow is one of two modern build self catering holiday homes available at Knockanore dairy farm. It's worth noting that it features a fully accessible kitchen and bathroom with step-free entry front and rear and ample parking space adjacent to the front door (as I haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere). The bungalow is spacious, comfortable, with plenty of natural...

We stayed in Mary & Jim's Farmhouse accomodation for 3 nights in February. The house was spotless and cosy. It had everything we needed for our stay and more from the welcome pack to the starter pack and fuel for the fire. The property was on a quiet road with shared enclosed back terrace and large green lawn. Mary was...

We visited Knockanore as a family of four in August 2016. The property is set in lovely farmland approx 20 mins drive from Kilkenny city. The property is exactly as pictured/described, it’s a relatively new build with all mod cons you would expect and is extremely comfortable and spacious. The best part of Knockanore is the wonderful hospitality and the...

Perfect quiet, private, clean and spacious spot to relax after a day of touring. Four of us all said we'd stay again, because Mary and Jim are genuinely welcoming, flexible and patient; Mary shared life stories and suggestions for our stay and everyone loved her chocolate cake! Also, the location is central for grocery, dining and sightseeing. Each bedroom has...

The cottage décor was so good and it had the wow factor big time. It was wonderfully fitted out and so spacious and clean. so many gadgets to use in the...

Just back from a week's holiday which from our experiences of self-catering in Ireland has to be Tops! Mary, the Owner/Host was so welcoming, even down to having fresh bread, biscuits, milk and butter provided and the surprise of a freshly baked cake supplied by Mary on Tuesday. The property was fresh and spotless and the fire supplies for the...

The welcome is everything what you could hope for... and what's more the house is warm with a fire on in the stove and a few basics in the fridge and cupboards. If you want to get away from it all while being close to the motorway (a few km) and Kilkenny, it's a good choice. The Nore River is...

Very pleased with the accommodation. Mary is a wonderful host. The house is very clean and comfortable. So nice to have basic supplies in the fridge when we arrived and the homemade loaf was delicious. The setting is so peaceful. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, convenient place to stay.
