Have just returned from a three night stay in one of the Natural Retreats lodges & although we had a lovely few days within Castlemartyr Resort (hotel itself fab with beautiful grounds & leisure facilities), we were a little disappointed with the accommodation. The lodge just didn't feel as luxurious as I was hoping & I felt they were a... More

Stayed for a week with family. Ideal spot for rest and relaxation. Lodge was well equipped and the welcome pack was a great idea (Mahers coffee was particularly good!) Wifi was good, and very important. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was spotless Hotel grounds were beautiful and we spotted bats and hares amongst other visitors We would return without doubt,... The idea of this place sounded great. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, living area right at the resort. Pro's 1. You are right on the resort and you do have a car park 2. There is a washing machine for your clothes 3. Beds are comfortable 4. Excercise room and pool are very nice 5. You can walk into town... More

We stayed in the lodges for a friends wedding. The lodges are a fantastic affordable option for wedding guests, but also lots of families on holidays there too. The house was perfect, spacious and well equipped. Free gifts of wine, bread, eggs and milk on arrival were lovely. Rooms all ensuite, only issue was that the shower was not working... More

We stayed 4 nights in a Mews House with our son, daughter-in-law and 15 month old grandsons. Our son and daughter-in-law made the booking so I can't comment on that side of things. For us we enjoyed our time there; from meals in the bar, restaurant, and golf club house to walks in the ground to time spent in the... More

This was our second stay in the lodges (stayed last Feb too). Stayed in Lodge 10 this time and was a little disappointed to be honest. Kitchen facilities were still excellent and the location is lovely. Great to have access to the hotel facilities. Welcome pack is a fab idea. Pat Shortts bar in the village is a great place... More

Booked this property with some difficulty. Have to ring an English number which goes to answer machine, they ring you back & sometimes only ring once. It was hard going to get a person on the phone. Dealt with a few people & attitude was not at all nice. They need to work on their customer service. I was not... More

I stayed in the lodged last week and was disappointed as soon as I walked in. The house it self is lovely and modern with open plan design however the external wood and decking needs to be treated and inside it is like paint jobs were only half done. I could live with the general tired feeling of the place... More

Stayed for 3 nights in June, was very hot upstairs in the lodges owing to so much glass. Booked for 3 nights by telephone only to be told that it was 2 nights. Communication was poor. Lodges need some decorating in places.

I booked 2 (2 bedroom) lodges for a family get together. On the positive. Well located, with great safe communal play space at the back of each lodge. It was safe and clean. Kitchen well equipped- as we cooked 2 main meals for a party of 9. The welcome basket is a lovely touch. The staff in the lodges and... More
