Detailed Reviews
Stayed here in September 2020 for 2 nights as part of a trip on the Wild Atlantic Way. Location was perfect for getting around Baltimore on foot, really good hosts and good coronavirus measures in place that helped with sense of security. Also really close to Lough Hyne for climbing Knockomagh hill. Breakfast options were really good and delivered to the room with great efficiency. We also availed of a boat trip where we saw dolphins so this was really enjoyable. Rianne was more than helpful and sent on maps/food recommendations for the area and for further locations on our stay. Will hopefully return to stay here in the future!

We stayed at the Stone House B&B as a family of three for a weekend in January. We were the only guests, and it felt like staying with friends. We were welcomed with delicious homemade biscuits and Rianne had great tips for where to visit and where to eat out during our stay. Her breakfasts were absolutely delicious, and our baby couldn’t get enough of the poffertjes, so she kindly sent us the recipe. We’d happily stay at the Stone House again, and would recommend it to anyone visiting Baltimore.

Hello Mary & Anthony I'm delighted you enjoyed your weekend in Baltimore and was pleased that Liam loved the Dutch poffertjes - have you tried making them at home yet? We look forward to seeing you again another time perhaps to include a whale & dolphin watching trip on our boat in the summer or autumn. Kind regards Rianne

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights in March, and we can't speak highly enough of The Stone House. Rianne was the warmest, most welcoming host, and she took great pleasure in ensuring we had all the information and pointers we needed to make the most of our stay in Baltimore. We've not stayed with anyone so keen that we enjoy our entire time in the area, not just our time in the B&B!
That said, the place itself was excellent too. Very homely and comfortable, with everything we needed, and the breakfast was delicious. The home-baked bread was a particular highlight, and the little gifts of flapjacks, fresh from the oven, left in our room were much appreciated!
We can't wait to come back.

It's hard to know where to start with a review of the Stone House B&B.
Overall we had an amazing stay, made even better by Rianne's wonderful hospitality.
The B&B is very centrally located, with plenty of car parking, so we were able to walk to the centre of the village in about 2 minutes.
Rianne is a fountain of knowledge of everything and anything a visitor might want to do in the area. Swim in the sea, Rianne has a map with 5 swimming spots marked, local walks, another map for that. Good places to eat, she has a list for that too.
The rooms are lovely, bright and clean. Our breakfast was served outside in the garden, anything we wanted we got.
For someone like me so used to doing self-catering, I found the personal contact with such a personable and knowledgeable 'ban an ti' very rewarding.
I couldn't recommend the Stone House B&B enough.

Hi Laura - Reviews like yours are so helpful in attracting other visitors to Baltimore (and stay with us of course) and we're delighted you had a great stay in the Stone House. Sometimes, no matter how hard we try a very small number of guests just don't "get the personal contact" but you obviously did and that's really so nice to mention. We love our guests to bits, and interacting with them makes it all the more personal - you know the saying, arrive as guests leave as friends ! We hope you'll come and stay again another time. Stay safe & well. Kind regards Rianne & Jerry

Great welcome from Rianne on our arrival for a one-night stay only. The room was very comfortable and the bed gave us a great night's sleep. Very quiet as well. The home made cake with a cuppa on arrival was very nice. Unfortunately, our linked Aquaventures dolphin watching trip had to be cancelled due to safety concerns (poor weather), but we received a prompt & full GBP refund (not in Euros, so as to avoid a second lot of conversion fees - Thanks Rianne & Jerry!). A full and tasty cooked breakfast set us up for the next days' travels around the WAW. Thank you also for the eatery recommendations in Baltimore - Jacob's Bar was better than described on service & wholesome food. We will definitely stay again, if in the area ,and we have recommended it to our friends.

Just back from fantastic dive trip to Baltimore West Cork. Rianne and Gerry who run the Aquaventures Dive Centre and the Stone House B&B were amazing hosts both for those that stayed and also for the rest of the diving group. Nothing was too much trouble: tumble drying wet undersuits, fresh and delicious lemon and banana/walnut cake for the dive boat outings, booking tables and making extra tea and toast (with homemade jam( for the diving group as they arrived for the dive brief. Whilst the weather wasn't the best Gerry managed to drop the shot right on top of the submarine and the Kowloon Bridge both amazing dives and we also really enjoyed scenic dives with some very chilled enormous spiny lobsters. To top the whole trip on our way back from last dive porpoises followed us in. What a trip. Couldn't recommend this B&B enough. Also great location for families and couples very close to town centre but far enough away to be quiet.

Prior to this stay I stayed in a 5 star hotel in a suited and I have to say Gerry and Rianne outdid themselves, this by far was one of the best stays I have ever had. There was nothing they didn’t or wouldn’t do, home baked fresh bread to cakes, delicious breakfasts, bringing us out to see the Whales, was a bucket list experience. I will definitely be back… thank you thank you thank you to you both. This is a brilliant place to stay for young families and for couples, in the heart of Baltimore. Best staycation destination

Centrally located beside the village and harbour. Rianne can’t do enough for you, she’s incredibly helpful. The home baking and sandwich breakfasts are great!
She arranged whale watching, whales weren’t cooperating but loads of dolphins 🐬.
The room we had was good, well equipped, even had filter Coffee ☕️
Would definitely recommend

We spent a week there in October 2021. Great place to stay in the village centre, with loads of parking. Impeccably clean, with all Covid procedure punctiliously followed. Delicious breakfasts with home cooked bread, fresh fruit, etc. Rianne is a great host, with an extensive knowledge of the local area, who gave us lots of helpful advice on where to visit, etc. A gem of a place!
