Detailed Reviews
The grounds are lovely & the sunny patio in our apartment was a really nice place to spend a lazy morning. There was a €70 cleaning fee added to the price that we hadn't been informed about. I thought it was quite sneaky how this was added on & feel it is quite a high price for a cleaning fee, it would have been better to be informed about this beforehand. Other than that very much enjoyed the stay.

Killeena House is a beautiful little place in a very beautiful part of the world. We stayed here for 5 nights in a 2 bedroom accommodation.
We were met on arrival with the keys and shown to our accomodation. It was much larger than I was expecting, very large sitting room and kitchen and a conservatory at the back. It had everything we would would need for our stay and was extremely clean throughout.
There's plenty of food shopping options available in skibbereen,a large Supervalu,Lidl and Aldi. There's also a small convenience store in Baltimore.
Killeena House is perfectly located to explore all that West Cork has to offer but also offers a quiet place to get away from it all.

We had a great time in west Cork, so much to do in the area. Killeena House was very relaxing with beautiful gardens and grounds. The apartment itself could do with a few extra touches to add to the overall feeling of the surroundings, it's basic enough inside - but we still had a great time. The games room was an added bit of fun for our daughter.

Spend one night here with 2 of my friends. We could have stayed for a month. Lovely quirky accommodation. Old world. Beautiful Gardens and nearby walks. Near Baltimore. Clean with everything you need. Looking forward to going back ideal spot to chill and get away from it all.

From start to finish we had a fantastic experience in Killeena House. We booked over the phone with Bernie and transferred a deposit to hold the apartment. We arrived on Friday evening and met with a very friendly staff member who showed us to our apartment.
We were in the area attending a wedding in Inishbeg Island. Knowing that we were in a secluded area (nearest shop is about 7k away) we brought our own teabags, coffee, milk, ingredients for a fry and some other snacks. We totally made ourselves at home in the apartments. Plenty of clean towels, plenty of hot water and the heating was on demand so we were never cold. We walked to the island via a shortcut through the woods from the grounds which took approx. 15 minutes from door to door.
Bernie and her staff were extremely accommodating and told us not to rush on the last day and enjoy a sleep in if we needed it after our hectic weekend. After we left I realised we left something in the apartment and after a quick phone call, Bernie offered to send it in the post free of charge.
Overall, I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough. Whether it be for a wedding in the area, or just for a perfect central location for any of the areas within a 20k radius to use as a base. Everything was perfect. I hope we have an excuse to stay in this area again and without a doubt, we will be staying in Killeena House.

Our road trip to Ireland consisted of no plans at all.....so by chance we stopped at Killena House and asked if they had anything available.
They had a beautiful two bedroom apartment which we initially rented for one night but after being there for an hour decided we would stay an extra night.
Its clean and the gardens are lovely they even gave us some milk. We were told we could go down through the gardens across to another house for coffee and cake.....well worth the beautiful walk.
If you want somewhere nice and quiet in beautiful surroundings this is the place....it wont break the bank either. We definitely plan to pass this way again.
The dolphin tour in bantry is a must if you are passing this way ....we certainly weren't disappointed.

We spent three nights here recently in a one bedroom apartment. It was clean and spacious, but still warm and cosy. Linen was good and the bed comfortable. The apartment was very clean. I liked being met by our host-it makes everything so much easier when you get an on the spot run through of how heating, hot water, TV etc work. Only small negative-not enough power points in the apartment-particularly to run a lap top, and a hair dryer in the bathroom of close to a mirror even.

I stayed at Kileena House for the weekend and it was the perfect little holiday rental. The apartment was clean, cozy and super close to Inis beg. Bernie and Emma were really helpful & quick on responding to any questions I had. Would absolutely stay again.

We visited Killeena House for the second time late last year and loved it so much again we plan to return a third time with friends in future. Just as was the case during our previous visit, the chalet was scrupulously clean and tidy. All rooms were well heated and there were spare blankets in the bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and the living/dining area was spacious, cosy and comfortable - truly a home from home. What also sets this place apart are the hosts, Emma and Bernie, who could not have offered us a friendlier or more helpful welcome. They manage to achieve the perfect balance between unobtrusiveness and mysteriously anticipating ones every need: all communication with them becomes a pleasure as a result of their friendly enthusiasm and exhaustive knowledge of the surrounding area. They are wonderfully accommodating despite clearly working extremely hard and the chalets reflects this dedication.

Myself and my partner stayed in Killeena for 2 nights in early winter. The cottage we stayed in was super cosy. Perfect to chill and read books, write or drink copious amounts of tea and wine!
Emma and Bernie are the perfect type of hosts I like, you are warmly welcomed, nothing is a hassle, but then they leave you to your own devices to potter about the gardens and settle in. Bliss.
The beds are comfy and all your linen and towels are provided.
I will defo stay here again. If you are after some proper down time, this is the place for you.
Baltimore is a few minutes by car, but if you plan on having a few pints be sure and book a local taxi.
