Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely setting, very clean and cosy. It was quaint with a nice fireplace. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of storage space. The host was very helpful. Lots to do in the area, nice beaches nearby. We would definitely return.

Peaceful get away just over 1 hour from Cork City. So much to do in the surrounding area or just bring a book, some food supplies and indulge yourself in calmness. Beautiful wood walk leading to a quiet private pier. Beautiful gardens to sit and have a picnic. Bliss

Just back from a week here as a family of 4 with our dog, we absolutely loved it. We had friends staying in another apartment also. The grounds are so peaceful and the kids had a ball running around and playing. Great location to explore West Cork from too. Our accommodation was basic but clean. There were 6 of most items and some basic cooking utensils. We got a little welcome pack with some tea bags, sachets of salt, pepper and sugar as well as toilet rolls, hand soap, washing up liquid and some cloths etc. Our towels were changed mid week. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with one of the highlights of it being the sauna. I would highly recommend anyone staying here to book a session in advance of your stay. It was a fabulous way to relax and unwind in the evenings.

Just returned from a magical 4 day stay at Killeena House in Baltimore West Cork. Our accommodation was excellent especially in the current circumstances. The apartment was cosy and fully equipped for cooking. It was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed. The new management seem to have thought of everything. The beautiful grounds are a tranquil oasis of peace. I know that we will try to get back again as soon as possible. Thank you.

What a beautiful place, nestled on the bank of Ilen River Baltimore. The managers Robyn & Johnny were very helpful. So many beautiful spots to have picnics on the grounds. The woodland has a beautiful trail to the pier at Charity Quay. Will definitely be back.

I recently visited Killeena House with my friend. We had an amazing visit. It felt like we were on a retreat with the beautiful and calming surroundings of the grounds. There are lovely walks around the gardens along with plenty to do near by. The accommodation was pristine and the managers were extremely helpful. I would highly recommend Killeena House as a couples retreat or a girls trip. You can visit Lough Hyne, Baltimore Beacon, Cape Clear, Sherkin Island and lots more near by. Can’t wait to go back for another visit.

I was lucky enough to stay here after winning a 2 night stay. It was rustic and had so much charm in gorgeous surroundings. Located near the charming village of Baltimore and only ten minutes from skibbereen, it really was perfectly located. The apartment was spotless and the beds very comfortable. The estate itself is set in woodlands and the views from the apartment style cottage were lovely. I would recommend this type of accommodation to friends and family and I would definitely stay again. Thank you to the management and staff for a lovely stay.

The apartments are located between skibbereen and Baltimore. We went for an apartment with regular stairs(non spiral) and it also had a sun room. Apartment was clean and spacious including plenty of storage. The gardens are incredibly well kept and there is a forest walk that leads to inis Beag. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. Parking is plentiful and a short distance away, there is a drop off area too.

Our road trip to Ireland consisted of no plans at all.....so by chance we stopped at Killena House and asked if they had anything available. They had a beautiful two bedroom apartment which we initially rented for one night but after being there for an hour decided we would stay an extra night. Its clean and the gardens are lovely they even gave us some milk. We were told we could go down through the gardens across to another house for coffee and cake.....well worth the beautiful walk. If you want somewhere nice and quiet in beautiful surroundings this is the place....it wont break the bank either. We definitely plan to pass this way again. The dolphin tour in bantry is a must if you are passing this way ....we certainly weren't disappointed.

We spent three nights here recently in a one bedroom apartment. It was clean and spacious, but still warm and cosy. Linen was good and the bed comfortable. The apartment was very clean. I liked being met by our host-it makes everything so much easier when you get an on the spot run through of how heating, hot water, TV etc work. Only small negative-not enough power points in the apartment-particularly to run a lap top, and a hair dryer in the bathroom of close to a mirror even.
