Truly a favorite! We loved staying here SOO MUCH! Do not hesitate: Book now!! We set up our reservation over email. Eileen was so welcoming and kind, made our later check in a breeze. Excellent room: The best of our trip. Great view of the water from the master bedroom. Shared bathroom was very easy (just with another couple of rooms). This whole B&B was insanely clean (!!!) and so well kept. She's lived in the house for decades and it's so lovingly decorated and just a wonderful place to spend time. Excellent breakfast, wonderful location. Easy walk or pop in the car for a minute into Cobh. I truly cannot say enough good things about this place. Probably our favorite B&B of the whole trip. Just note that if you don't pay via Paypal ahead of time, it's cash only (her daughter manages the Paypal).

Oakhurst house is conveniently located within a stone's throw from Cobh's town centre. A clean, quite, and spacious house with a beautiful garden and private parking. We had one of the best breakfasts in Ireland and we really look forward to returning soon. We are grateful to our friend Eileen for her generous hospitality.

Very nice and clean Bed and Breakfast. We had a room looking out over the harbor. Large and clean bedroom. Eileen the owner was extremely helpful and friendly. She gave us several recommendations for a place to have dinner. It was raining out and she gave us ride to town so we did not have to walk in the rain. We did walk back home after a night at the pubs in town. It was a nice 10-15 minute stroll down a nice lighted walkway. Breakfast was outstanding, much more than one could possibly eat. Fruit, toast, yogurt and porridge to start out. Then the main dish of eggs, ham, sausage, potatoes. Orange juice, Coffee and some Irish Whiskey to drink. The only downside would be that you have to share the bathroom with 2 other guest rooms. Fortunately for us we had the place to ourselves. Eileen then gave us some great advice for our drive and sightseeing that day.

What a wonderful accommodation and friendly atmosphere! Eileen is such a wonderful hostess - helpful, friendly, and makes a delicious breakfast!! The home itself is in a great location, walking distance to town. Beautifully decorated with comfortable rooms. It was such fun to sit at a family table for breakfast and meet other travelers from around the globe! I visited this lovely property with my dad and it made our entire trip!! I will definitley come back again!! Thank you Eileen!!!

Eileen provides her guests with a real Irish home feel, very welcoming, informs about the town, what to see and what to do. The home is fabulous! Just beautiful and she loves to provide the history and information about this grand home. She provides a delicious breakfast. We are a family of 5- our 3 daughters stayed in one room and we in a spectacular King room overlooking the water, and our family shared a bathroom among ourselves. Very clean and immaculate. Would have liked to spend another night in this beautiful home with Eileen as the perfect host. It is walking distance to the town.

Eileen was a lovely host at Oakhurst House. Very accomodating and helpful. We stayed 2 nights with our twin 15-year-olds in 2 rooms with our own, private batgroom in the hallway outside our rooms. I do know that Eileen has ensuites as well, if preferred. Oakhurst House was incredibly clean ( I have high standards) and comfortable. Our washroom had modern fixtures with great water pressure. Our room had a bice, big bed and vuews od the cove. The breakfast was made-to-order, plenty of variety and delicious! It was a lovely 10-minute walk along the seaside boardwalk into the heart of Cobh. We walked both day and night with no problems. There's an amazing playground along the walk (the even my teens loved) and an outdoor, free gym. Cobh is lovely! We ate at The Quays and Jacob's Ladder. Both have great outdoor, seaside seating but we found that the menu at The Quays had more variety. Did the Titanic Experience (1 hour), Spike Island (3-4 hours) and don't forget to walk up West View St at the back of Pearse Square and go to the back of the park on the left for iconic Cobh views of the cathedral behind the colourful row houses. It's worth a trip to Cobh and we highly recommend the Oakhurst House.

We only spent one night at this lovely Victorian House with magic atmosphere. It's only 10 minutes walking from the center which you can reach walking on the seafront. Eileen is a delicious host, serves great breakfast (please say yes to her porridge!) and very helpful with any guide information. The room was comfortable and well equipped. We strictly reccomend this place to stay.

We were greeted by Eileen your congenial host. . As we were staying for two weeks, we were given a wonderful self catering apt which was just perfect for us. Spotlessly clean , a great washroom and shower , also washing machine, microwave, oven . Eileen is an amazing person and we will be recommending Oakhurst to anyone planning a trip to Cobh. Thank you so much Eileen, we will be back. Much love to you xo
