From the moment we arrived at Pam’s beautiful manor, we felt instantly at home - Pam was so warm and welcoming. She was more than happy to give us recommendations for the area and each one we went to exceeded our expectations! Our room was comfortable and an impressive size, perfect for a couple! Breakfast every morning was high quality and extensive, and sets you up for the day - all served with a smile and a conversation from Pam! Overall we loved our stay and are hoping we can come to stay again in the next few years! Get it booked, you won’t regret it! Courtney and Peter
Our hostess, Pam, was the epitome of warm Irish welcome. Upon arrival she offered us tea which turned out to be a lovely table fully set and included not only tea, but still warm scones. The house is large and gracious and well worth a visit. Easily walkable to museums and restaurants. Plentiful parking.
From the time we arrived, Pam our host, was gracious and very helpful. She settled us in, took the time to understand how she could assist our stay in Cobh and took our next morning breakfast orders. The manor is a very clean, regal place and is close to the attractions in Cobh. Parking was spacious and the room was comfortable. In the morning we were treated to an exceptional, full Irish breakfast. Thank you for the terrific stay Pam!
We were so glad we booked the Knockeven B&B in COBH, Ireland! Pam is the friendliest, most helpful hostess we have ever encountered! She treated us like family.she provided great information on things to do in the area. The house itself, built in about 1839, is mansion-like and elegant. The home-made breakfasts were to die for! Your choice of traditional Irish breakfast or salmon and eggs, accompanied by great scones and delicious coffee. Our room was huge with an equally huge window. The grounds were gorgeous and lush- it is 2 acres and very quiet- with huge trees filled with singing birds. It is almost paradise.
What a fantastic guesthouse. The house is so beautiful, there is no where like it. Lovely and peaceful and quiet. Our room was so spacious and comfortable with a lovely view. We loved chatting with Pam the host and hearing about the history of the house, Pam was very accommodating and gave us a lift down to the town, and helped us find a restaurant to eat at. She couldn’t have been more helpful! The breakfast was delicious and I loved the fine china tea set we were served tea in. Beautiful scones, biscuits and Irish brown bread! Louise from Dublin
What an incredible experience we had while staying at the Knockeven House in Cobh. Pam is absolutely amazing. She made dinner reservations for us. She drove us to dinner. She was exactly what the host of a fine B&B should be. Oh, and the breakfast provided by Pam was out of this world. Her scones were incredible. I can't say enough good things about her. She even provided us with a great restaurant to eat at when we got to Kinsale. If you are going to Cobh, you have to stay at Knockeven House (If you are lucky enough to get a reservation.)
We’ve stayed at this lovely B&B for three nights. We highly appreciated the friendliness of the hostess, the large and comfortable room, and the delicious breakfast. Knockeven House is located in a very quiet and pleasant place; very closed to the centre of Cobh. For sure we will be back to stay with Pam in our next visit to Ireland. We highly recommend Knockeven House to everyone with absolutely no hesitation!
The room was lovely and spacious and very comfortable. A lovely friendly welcome from Pam. We arrived late and we’re still offered tea and scones and nothing was a bother. A lovely stay in a lovely house. Cobh is beautiful and well worth a visit. 10 out of 10.
Knockeven House is a beautiful old house (with ample parking) set in lovely grounds accessed by a long rising drive. Pam is a lovely, kind, funny lady, she even gave us a lift to the bus stop to get our bus into Cork! The guesthouse is a pleasant 15-20 min walk by the water into the town. The breakfast is lovely with homemade soda bread and scones. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but Pam is happy to make a drink if you want one. Knockeven House is very quiet and we had the best nights sleep ever! The locals are very friendly and helpful and the town of Cobh is lovely. The Titanic Experience and the Cathedral are definitely worth visiting and we would definitely return
Great value B&B in a splendid looking house, inside and out. Had a huge room, well furnished. And to top it all,the host Pam is a lovely charming Lady. Would recommend and stay again if we are down that way..
