It seems the commodore hasn't been upgraded since the Titanic went down. Terrible lack of facilities, just a bare bones room not even a spare plug socket!! Reception staff were friendly and helpful, Bar staff were friendly but disorganized and slow. Restaurant/breakfast staff were terrible, unhelpful and unfriendly. About the only decent thing about the hotel is its location.

I stayed there last weekend, and I must say I was very happy with the Commodore. Its central location overlooking Cork Harbour makes it a great choice plus it has a lovely view of St.Colmans Cathedral which is just a short walk away. Friendly staff, good food, and a lovely room. A big cruise liner had docked in the harbour...

Book a nights stay on Cobh whilst traveling. When booking online I indicated in the comments please advise on parking arrangements, but the hotel never bothered to reply and in my busy schedule I forgot, however I did find free ample parking on the quayside about a 10 minute walk away which was fine overnight. When I checked in I...

Old fashioned friendly hotel. Comfortable rooms and good food. I have stayed there a few times when working in the area and will stay there again when in the area. Beautiful views overlooking the historic Cobh harbour.

This hotel is very nice. The rooms were comofrtable and well equiped and the staff were very welcoming. The hotel is in the middle of the town, overlooking the harbour with great views. The only downside is this is also overlooking the main road and it can be loud, but it's not a big problem. The beds were comfortable and...

We arrived in Cobh after an extremely stressful trip from Canada to dublin to Cork. We really wanted to see the heritage site and a few other attractions but it was pouring rain and we were hungry. The commodore hotel was the first place we came across so we went inside. The staff were friendly and even made us some...

Cobh is nothing but a seaside village still Very much set a century behind. If that's not your thing then don't stay. It was absolutely wonderful for us looking for the Edwardian seaside and harbor venture. Hotel was set still I. The height of that period of time and I found this extremely satisfying. Staff were genuinely helpful and courteous...
