We had a large family dinner here Fri 27th January. The food, drinks, hotel and staff were all outstanding. Food and service was both 10/10. A special mention to Mark Canty who went above and beyond for the whole night. He is a pleasure to deal with and is excellent at his job. He is such an asset to The Commodore Hotel.
Stayed here recently as we always do and I must say it was fantastic as always. Staff were friendly and I met up with friends for dinner in the bar and the food was amazing. Great to see work been done again on the bedrooms. Will definitely be back again as it is one of my favourite places to stay.

We had a splendid time at the Commodore! The best place to stay in Cobh. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The restaurant had fantastic food and the little bars were so cute. We want to return for our honeymoon. The room was so comfortable, we stayed 5 days, wished it was longer! Please, stay here. Really, loved it so much.
We stayed here and have to say it was a fabulous hotel to stay in. My father who is aged in his 80s was 1 of 3 amost us. We had an excellent time touring around Cobh and the people we spoke to were very friendly. We had a wee bit of food in the hotel on the night and we had a young lad Evan we think his name was on the bar on the night a great chap and very friendly and nice. We did attend the reception area a few times to find no1 behind it as we heard about a roof top that we had no notice where it was. To say even doh the wee bar was a bit quiet we still had a great night as we speaking with a few people who dad had a great night and as we people say it’s a small word. I will be coming back in the future bar staff Evan is great. Rooms 100% lovely fresh buns, water, sassumias not many hotels would you get that. Rooms cleaned daily even when staying.Hats off to the housekeepers dad had a great time and laugh with them.…
We recently held our cove sailing club awards night in the Jack Doyle room and i have to say from the moment i booked to the event itself Sabrina and her team were amazing. She really made the whole process so easy for me nothing was any hassle from table plans changing last min, menu changes and equipment on the night i felt we were in good hands. The meal itself was excellent and the service impeccable. The young lads behind the bar we're brilliant and wait staff were always on hand. I and the members were very impressed and will definitely be returning next year. Thanks a million Sabrina and her team excellent job.
We celebrated my Dad's 80th birthday in The Commodore Hotel last weekend it was fantastic from start to finish. This was our second family occasion in the hotel this year and I could not fault it. The food was fantastic and the private dining room was perfect. All the staff were amazing particularly Sabrina who oversaw everything and ensured all was in order on the day. We were very happy and had a wonderful day. I would highly recommend the hotel for a get together.
My husband and I spent 3 nights & fell in love with Cobh. We had a water view room, which was amazing for watching the cruise ships come in right outside our windows. Check in was fine, they aren’t as friendly as they could be. We had a car, so paid for the parking in their lot. Our room was lovely except that it was so very hot & they didn’t have any fans, we did ask. The beds was comfortable & we loved the charm of the old hotel & the price was good. It is central to everything, there isn’t anywhere you can’t walk to. We didn’t eat at the hotel, had drinks one day but were never offered a second & had to wait for a long time to get our bill to pay. We would definitely stay again.
We ate here recently and I have to say the food was fabulous and great size portions. Had the Steak Sandwich and the Shepherds Pie and we couldn't fault it. The staff couldn't do enough for us and were so attentive. We will definitley be back.
Lovely old hotel in a beautiful setting …staff seemed great , breakfast was great , rooms were bright , fresh and comfortable …the only gripe I have and it was the same for my 44 fellow travellers …room locations were totally confusing , the first floor was actually on the second floor , signs showing room nos bore no relationship to what floor you were on …the signs for the actual signs for your floor were hidden in some other hall way …felt a bit like staying in Willy Wonka’s house …we did have a good laugh about it all after though …all in all a great experience
