Just statues in Ireland for 3 nights. Our last night at the WatersEdge. We definitely saved the best till last. The room was immaculately clean, beautiful views and a comfortable bed. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The the food was amazing and the staff could not be more helpful.
Really enjoyed a one-night midweek escape to this hotel. Dinner, Bed, and Breakfast. Fabulous central location, situated on a quiet road but just yards from the main street, with panoramic views of the water from both the bedroom and the dining room. Nice welcome on check-in. Spacious room with comfortable beds, tea/coffee making facilities, and modern bathroom with walk-in shower. Top class meal in the restaurant, great service and food. Strolled into town after dinner, went for drinks in Kellys Bar, where there was live music and a great atmosphere. Enjoyed breakfast with a view. Hot and cold buffets were available, so plenty to choose from. Great stay.
I recently had a one night stay at this hotel, 9-10 January 2023. It was a second stay but I cannot envisage another based on my experience of this last one. My main criticisms are as follows: At check in, the ‘welcome’ was poor, lacking in any warmth. I was travelling alone , had a suitcase and rucksack. I was given a room upstairs and no effort was made to suggest some assistance with the suitcase. I am 4 foot 8 in height and aged 66! This was in contrast to the offer of help given to me outside the hotel by an individual to help me with my luggage, going up the outside steps. Having seen subsequently, during my stay that there were very few guests on the day, I have wondered why I wasn’t given the option of a downstairs room if this was a possibility? The stairs on the way up were in need of a good hoovering, noted especially on the morning after my stay. In constructive criticism, the bedroom was clean and neat. The bathroom grouting was black in many areas however. The hairdrier in my room 14, did not work which I discovered at 11.30 pm. My main criticism , as outlined above, is regarding customer service and interaction. Certainly, there is room for a vast improvement. I sent this on to the hotel on 12/01/23, giving opportunity for a response. I received no reply up to 28/01/23. Another example of the lack of customer service. …
Food was disgraceful everything was cold won't be staying again. Have stayed here many times in the past but will not be back .I complained to the waiter about the cold breakfast he said he would tell the chef, we also complained to the receptionist.
Absolutely amazing location . Beautiful clean and big room. Amazing view. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good price. Highly recommended!!! We booked nights before great price. Location is perfect. Only a 5 minutes walk to the beautiful town center. Car park underground . Really nice and staff from front desk. Many information for tourist

We had our wedding meal at the restaurant. The food was just unbelievable! Everyone commented on how good the food was, every course. The ambience of the restaurant was just so beautiful. The staff went above and beyond. They made our experience just so lovely. We had family members stay in the hotel and they all said they loved their stay, the rooms, the wonderful view, the delicious breakfast and again the staff were all just brilliant. Every family occasion I have will definitely be booked at this wonderful hotel/restaurant venue.
We a party of 5 adults and 2 kids recently stayed in Waters Edge. Our rooms were 3,4 & 6. Everyone was delighted with their bedrooms as all overlooked Cork Harbour. Breakfast was buffet style so choice is totally up to the guest. (The rashers are devine). The first night we dined in the hotel restaurant. We all enjoyed our dinner especially us who had the fresh fish and chips. The staff are very friendly and treat you like their family while still been very professional. Excellent hotel and well worth a visit.
