We arrived at the BnB in the rain. There was no one there to meet us. A passer-by called the owner and someone came to check us in. We go two rooms on the 3rd floor, and there was no elevator. The rooms were small and the bathroom and shower were even smaller. The first night, there was no hot water. After complaining, there was hot water in the morning. We did not sleep well the first night due to a major storm blew into the harbour. The whole building, built in the 1850's, was shaking all night with howling winds! The breakfast both mornings was very good and the nice lady hosts were very friendly. No on-site parking, but the views were nice and it was an easy walk around the harbour area.
We stayed here as a couple on Sat night 13th Oct.Tiny room in the attic...no wardrobe...but worse to come ...nobody present to cook our breakfast when we went to dining room at 9.30 am so even though we paid for bed and breakfast we got none and we were obliged to buy breakfast down town
Beayutiful room with a fablous view of the sea and the cruise ships and all the beautiful harbour. the B and B was top class with a fantastic breakfast . Stayed two nights and could not praise this accomadation enought, the two ladies running the B and B.were lovely and so friendly, Will definetly go there when we return to Cobh.
Great location in Cobh. Had a lovely room overlooking the harbour. A wonderful smoked salmon and eggs for breakfast. Only issue is you need to park a ways away and walk around the cathedral to get there but once I figured that out it was fine.
I booked Ardeen B&B for my mother and myself for one night. We booked a room without a sea view that had two twin beds and was ensuite. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom had terrible lighting and the room was overcome with a septic system smell early in the evening of our stay. It was very strong and necessitated closing the windows, not sure where the smell emanated from. There was tea, sugar, cups, and a electric kettle waiting for us in the room. The electric kettle was dirty, having bits of something floating in the water. The only outlet in the room was 6 feet high off the ground on the wall, so plugging it in would have been a hassle and a hazard. Breakfast was nice - coffee was strong and the salmon was delicious. Not bad value. Okay for a one stay, but request a room with a sea view and report odors prompt if it happens to you.…
We stayed at the Ardeen B&B Inn for one night of a three week driving trip in Ireland. The room was very comfortable and the WIFI connection was grand. Our room was on the second floor with a wonderful view of the harbor. There is free parking available at the top of the hill behind St Colman’s Cathedral follow the parking signs posted through town. The owner was very friendly and accommodating and the property is located within a short walk to the center of the town with restaurants, pubs, sightseeing, shopping, Titanic experience and has easy access for day trips from the location. The morning breakfast was freshly made and absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend Ardeen B&B to all visitors and would look forward to staying there in the future. FYI the accommodations are paid in cash we were aware, but I've seen others stating they missed the remark when booking.…
Very pleasant b/b helped by host tracy.lovely view of cobh harbour. Convenient to local attractions and the train to cork city. As i had an early early morning departure helpfully a breakfast was organised .much appreciated.overall a good location and friendly welcome.a reccomend.
Stayed here last Friday night and everything was great. From Tracey greeting us and moving her own car to enable me park outside to the fantastic (big) breakfast the next morning. Beautiful sea view from our window and lovely décor. Would definitely stay here again. Cobh was an amazing place to be on Friday. A round the world cruise ship was in and the town was full of Aussies, all enjoying the music in the pubs and the craic. Amazing watching the huge cruise ship leaving at 10.30 in the evening.
We are a group of 6 boys from wales on a fishing trip of 3 days Clean and friendly people excellent views of the harbour from the rooms very good location and the titanic tour is a must and spike island and all the lovely restaurants and bars
Excellent, Ardeen B + B is a good place to stay while in Cobh and for a base for getting around Cork. Our room No2 had a great view over Cork Harbour, Tracy, the owner was terrific, very helpful, with a lot of local knowledge. Breakfast couldn't be faulted, just ask and you'll get, within reason. We will stay again. People in Cobh are so friendly, the pubs are good too.
