Detailed Reviews

This is a wonderful B and B with magnificent guest rooms. The host , Moira , went above and beyond what was expected, even cooking us a gorgeous meal one evening. There is a beautiful, cosy lounge to spend time in and Moira or her husband Joe went to the trouble of lighting an open fire each evening to make us feel really cosy.
Moira was a fount of knowledge about places to visit and helped us plan where we should visit . Breakfast was wonderful and Moira really catered for everyone’s taste. All in all this is a superb place to stay but be warned it is booked up for months in advance.

What a divine place! The rooms and decor are so classy and tastefully decorated, our seaview King size room was enormous. Such a comfortable bed and pillows. The attention to detail was outstanding. A fabulous host and fabulous breakfast too, thank you.

This was the most amazing stay. The room was huge and so well appointed. The shower had heaps of hot water. The property had beautiful attention to detail. The hosts could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was lovely. The location was brilliant. Cannot recommend more highly. After 2 weeks in Ireland this is the stand out.

Very big quiet bedroom. Lovely bathroom with great shower. Huge comfortable bed. Great garden view. Breakfast better than any 5* hotel. Marie and Joe gives great suggestions on places to visit. Pleasant pedestrian walkway passing by the cruise ships. Also free parking at harbour at edge of town near some nice restaurants. Helen&Hugh

Stayed here recently whilst touring Cork and visiting family. Received a warm welcome from the owners and hosts, Marie and Joe.
Our room on the 1st floor at the front was spacious and tasefully furnished with en-suite. On arrival we were were warmly welcomed by Marie who kindly helped us with our heavy luggage. Once settled in, we were talking to Marie who helpfully recommended a local resturant The Titanic for dinner that night, she even volunteered to drive us there. This guest house is beautiful detached house with tons of character. It is on the estuary so you can see boats / ships coming and going. Its about 1 mile from town centre and a leisurely 20 minute walk. The town of Cobh is a historic town and there's plenty to see around the town including the beautiful Catherderal and there are links to the Titanic ship.
The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space. The bed was very comfortable. We had cooked Irish breakfast each morning with Marie taking our order the night before. She even lit the open fire, so when we returned in the evening there was literally a warm welcom. The food was lovely, home cooked by Marie. We even sampled her homemade Seville Organges marmalade, delicious. This is a lovely place to stay, we were made to feel part of the family.
Marie and Joe were very good hosts. They gave good information of local places of interests and recommendations on where to eat.
I fully recommend this place and hope to stay again in the near future.
