Our trip was two years in the making. Our reservation with Noreen was rescheduled 4 times due to the pandemic. Noreen was always pleasant and accommodating during it. We arrived to her home and was greeted enthusiastically with her sweet energy and willingness to make us feel right at home. We loved our view from the room (see picture) and hearing the church bells during our two night stay. Waking up to smelling breakfast being prepared for us felt nostalgic. It was beautifully prepared and did not disappoint. Thank you so much for your hospitality Noreen!! Your guest, Tamila, Patrick, Mike, and Melissa.
My wife and I arrived with my brother and his wife at the end of April for a one-night stay at Mount View. I have to say that the four of us were generally very disappointed with our room and of our breakfast on departure. The designated room for my brother and wife was at least upstairs and had a view, but my wife and I had the choice of a small room upstairs at the back with two singles pointing in different directions, or a double room which we eventually chose, outside the main building which appeared to be in a converted garage. The TV had no signal, the shower/toilet door wouldn't fully close and there was no tea-making facilities in either of our allotted bedrooms. We did have tea in the small outer conservatory supervised by Noreen. Breakfast next morning was a fried one (including a frankfurter sausage), and we saw no signs of cereal or fruit. Noreen was very friendly and chatty and we did enjoy conversations with her. Sadly our one-night stay did not come up to our expectations, unlike the other seven nights spent at B&B's during our Ireland tour.…
Myself and my partner must say we really enjoyed our stay here from the minute we arrived we had a very enjoyable experience and the room was perfect also the greeting at breakfast next morning was top class would definitely recommend a stay here and next time we are back in Cóbh we definitely will not hesitate to book here first.
We really enjoyed our stay in Mountview. Noreen and Tony were so inviting and accommodating. The room was beautiful and the house is so close to Cobh and to Fota Resort. We cannot recommend this B&B enough. Thank you so much Noreen and Tony for our stay. PS The breakfast was absolutely amazing.
This was B&B #2 in Ireland. Cobh is a seaside village and has some winding streets. Once we located it, we were greeted by Noreen. She was warm and friendly, far different from the prior review. The room had an incredible view, but was smaller than we had had in our first three days. Breakfast was excellent as well.
