My family,a total of seven adults, had the absolute pleasure of staying with Patricia and Frank at Nyali B&B,I speak for all when I say it was a fabulous experience from our arrival on Friday til our departure on Monday. We were attending a wedding in Cobh,Co.Cork . Patricia's culinary skills are superb and her breakfasts are varied and delicious.Frank has a wealth of knowledge about the history of Cobh and the wonderful cathedral that adorns this beautiful town.Rooms were very comfortable and the tremendous attention to detail enhanced our overall experience.Highly recommend Nyali B&B. My husband and I stayed here last night, Patricia and Frank are the best hosts we have had in Ireland! Frank could seriously be a tour guide for the town of Cobh, the home was very clean and beautifully decorated including beautiful gardens . The full Irish breakfast in the morning was amazing! I’m sorry that we only had one night to stay but it is definitely our favorite so far. We were able to walk into town for dinner and took a cab back that evening. If you are staying anywhere near Cobh this place is a must!
My husband and I and our adult twin daughters stayed 2 nights at Franks and Patricia's B and B during our self drive tour of Ireland in late June. Frank and Patricia were most welcoming. One of my daughters suffers from quite a few food intolerances and allergies. Patricia went to great detail as to what she could provide her for breakfast and basically ended up serving her 2 main courses for breakfast each morning. Patricia's breakfast servings were so generous we didn't need lunch! Our rooms, including our ensuites, were quite small with just enough room for our luggage. The ensuite did have cupboard space. Nyali Lodge provided adequate off street parking and was within walking distance to Cobh Harbour, shops, the Cathedral and hotels. Frank is a passionate historian. He was so keen to provide us with details of the surrounding area. He told us about the second steepest street in the world just a few streets away from their lodge. He provided us with so much detail about the great Cathedral in Cobh we had to take a tour of it. We enjoyed walking around inside taking photos of this beutiful ornate buidling. If we had more time we would have loved Frank to have been our tour guide! We also enjoyed a tour of the Cobh Heritage centre which features a poem written by Frank. Apart from the rooms being somewhat small we would recommenda stay at Nyali Lodge.…
We stayed here last weekend, 5 stars simply isn't enough to describe the service. We couldn't be happier with the clean, comfortable rooms, warm welcome and tasty breakfast. Our hosts Patricia and Frank were so accommodating, helpful and friendly. They gave us plenty of useful and interesting information about cobh and its history. Can't wait to return. Patricia and Frank thanks again. Mark
We stayed together with friends at Nyali Lodge for two nights. Patricia and Frank are best hosts one can think of. Nice and very informative and makes breakfast one can die for! If you plan to visit Cobh or the area do not miss this little gem.
Very friendly and warm welcome, confortable and cosy room, and the best breakfast ! Nice and interesting discussions ! Thanks a lot Pat and Frank, keep going this way, we loved our stay very much. Hope to see you soon
We stayed here unexpectedly in May and Frank and Patricia were very gracious in accommodating us, We didn't have a car and they gave us a ride into town and a short orientation of the town. Breakfast was delicious. We saw your poem on display at the Titanic Museum. Thanks for your hospitality!
We loved every bit of our stay at Frank and Patricia's place. They were so welcoming and made us feel at home. Both Frank and Patricia are very talented individuals. We will definitely stay with them again if we visit again. Thank you Patricia and Frank for a memorable stay.
We stayed in Nyali Lodge for two nights over the May Bank Holiday weekend. The B&B is so well kept by the hosts Patricia and Frank. The rooms are spacious and spotless. There is a range of choices for breakfast from a full Irish, smoked salmon, eggs, pancakes to fruit, cereals and pastries. Both hosts are very knowledgeable about the area and breakfast wouldn't be complete without a history lesson from Frank! If we're back in Cobh we'll definitely stay again!
We loved it here and found the hosts, location, breakfasts and accommodation to be eccellent in every way. The house is about a half a mile from the town and easy to get to with free parking. Breakfasts were very well presented and wholesome. The room was well equipped and the en-suite was clean with plenty of hot water.
