My wife & I with our two grandchildren (8 &14) had a great 3 night stay at this wonderfully located hotel. We found the staff very nice and helpful and the food was excellent. would highly recommed to anyone,
We enjoyed a room with balcony which was worth paying extra for with hotel facilities closed. Hotel had just reopened when we visited so we made allowances for a few hiccups in service. Dined in house and was impressed with the quality of the food...both breakfast and dinner. Outdoor seating area fab if you get the weather. Staff ,mostly students were very pleasant and friendly. Newly taken over pre covid, I wish the owners well in this difficult time!
We stayed here in August and was shocked to see this was a 4-star hotel. We barely got a hello in reception when we arrived even though we were the only people in the hotel, the room was so smelly we had to buy a candle in town and leave it lit all night, as well as leaving the windows open, during a storm! The rooms in the photos are not the rooms we saw. There was hair on the bed, which was one of the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on. And as for the smell. The atmosphere was comically bad, it was so quiet, no background music, no atmosphere, at one point we looked over at another couple and just laughed because you felt awkward even talking at a normal volume it was so dead. The TV in the bar was showing some sort of subtitled German movie. The only reason we would even give this a 1-star is for the two friendly and helpful girls, one who served us in the bar in the evening, and a girl from Douglas in Cork who served us breakfast.…
Lovely hotel in beautiful coastal location. Very friendly and helpful management and staff. Beds comfy, food very good. Ferry to Bere Island nearby. Sandy beach a short drive away. Spectacular scenery as you drive out the peninsula.
Loved this hotel and the excellent location and food. We had a beautiful room with sea views. Lots to do and a fabulous outdoor seating area. Staff were working so hard and were very helpful. Visited Beare Island and walked to the lighthouse which was wonderful. We also did a loop walk at Ahilies which we loved. Highly recommend.
Just back after a wonderful weekend stay at the Beara Coast Hotel. I cannot compliment it enough. We have a bedroom with a balcony with picturesque views. The food was excellent and the staff could not have made our stay any better. We really felt cared for and on holidays. You will not go wrong in selecting this hotel :)
Very friendly staff, accomodated us (fam of 4) by moving an extra bed in a smaller room when all the family rooms were booked. Still more than enough room for everyone, and made it possible for us to visit the peninsula the next day. Food and location perfect.
Usually I wouldn't stay in a place this posh but it was raining cats and dogs. I would have got drenched trying to pitch my tent so decided to treat myself instead. The place did not disappoint. Room was perfect and I got it cheaper than usual. It has a nice cosy little bar too for a few pints of Murphys
Excellent Hotel. Room very comfortable. . Excellent service. All staff very welcoming, friendly and efficient.. All food fantastic and to die for, Breakfast is special - I was amazed at the choices available.
The atmosphere in this hotel comes from the top down. Luxurious bed, warm in the weather, great views and lovely food. The hotel is surrounded by a quirky town and amazing landscape. McCarthys bar has to be visited in the town.
